Abstract: The combination of a decorative non-functional window shutter and a one-piece plastic fastener, and a method of mounting the same to a building wall. The shutter is made of molded plastic or aluminum. The fastener is of non-corrosive plastic construction having a plurality of angled resiliently-deformable teeth which, when inserted through a hole in the shutter into a mounting hole formed in a building wall, tend to flex in the direction of insertion and tend to return to their original position to resist removal.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fastening element of synthetic material comprising a sleeve-like hollow insert member adapted to be inserted into a prefabricated opening in a carrier plate and engaging beneath the underside of the opening edge by means of an undercut formed integrally therewith, and a head member connected to the insert member for fastening an article at the carrier member, with either the article to be fastened or the head member lying in close engagement with the side of the carrier plate opposite the undercut.

Abstract: A vehicle body structure such as a roof with a roof aperture surrounded by a frame, the latter defining, at least in the zone of the front edge and the lateral edges of the roof aperture, a gutter having a U-shaped cross-section, wherein the roof aperture can be closed by a sliding top as displaced via sliding blocks in guide tracks extending along the lateral edges of the roof aperture. According to a preferred embodiment, these guide tracks each have a vertical wall defining a side of the gutter that is located nearest the roof aperture that has the shape of an inverted U in cross-section, and a mounting strip is provided within a cavity of the inverted U-shape cross-section such that screws for attaching a cover (forming an upper wall of the guide track) are fastened to the top side of the vertical wall by extending therethrough into the holes in the mounting strip.
