Abstract: An adjustment apparatus and method includes a sliding member and a cam for directing longitudinal movement of the sliding member relative to a stationary member. Assembly, adjustment, and tightening of the sliding member onto a stationary member can be achieved with access to a single face of the adjustment apparatus.

Abstract: A one-piece flag nut having a flag portion protruding perpendicularly to the axis of a nut portion thereof such that during installation, as the flag nut rotates, the flag portion catches on any nearby structure and acts as a wrench during the installation process. The one-piece flag nut is formed by an extrusion process, and preferably formed to have ribs provided on the flag portion thereof which provide strength to the flag nut. The outer edges of the flag portion are preferably rolled to prevent the flag portion from being hung up on the structure during the installation process, thus preventing the flag nut from being properly seated.

Abstract: An electronic component installation structure according to the present invention includes: a bracket; a female screw with a part thereof built in the bracket; a male screw to be engaged with the female screw; and a prevention element which is provided on the bracket and prevents the female screw from turning when the male screw turns.

Abstract: A nut, including a body further including a threaded cylindrical hole, for receiving a threaded member, an axis of the threaded cylindrical hole being substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the body and a protrusion, grippable between a thumb and forefinger, extending from the body in a longitudinal direction, where the protrusion may be manipulated to position the body to engage the threaded member with the threaded cylindrical hole.

Abstract: A fastening device to be installed in areas having limited access. A washer is formed with an integral extension, and a nut is bonded to the washer. The device is installed onto a fastener by manipulating the extension. After the nut is tightened onto the fastener, the extension is detached from the washer by being bent along a score is formed between the extension and the washer.

Abstract: An access plug is provided for use in oil pans, transmissions and other fluid containers of equipment and the like. The access plug is weight imbalanced along the longitudinal axis to prevent inadvertent rotational movement of the access plug as may occur from vibrational forces when the plug is not properly tightened. By designing the plug with such an imbalance, the plug will terminate its rotation as the weighted half reaches the lowermost point during removal rotation and will so remain, preventing complete removal and rapid fluid loss.

Abstract: A device for locking bicycle components to the bicycle frame comprises a threaded bolt with a corresponding nut having a rotatable casing surrounding the outer surface thereof and a key for engaging the nut. The key and the end face of the nut have at least one spigot and at least one hole such that the spigots of each fit into the holes of the other. When so engaged, the key is capable of turning the nut. The key preferably includes leverage arms for aiding the turning of the nut.

Abstract: A washer has an extension integrally attached to the washer. The extension is scored tangential the washer and extends across the width of the extension. Notches are formed in the extension so the extension tapers inward. The extension is detached from the washer by bending the extension back and forth lateral of washer, and until detached from the washer.

Abstract: The device for clearance-free mounting of panes of glass embodying the invention comprises blocks each having a through passage of oblong section in which can freely pass a fastening screw intended to be screwed into a threaded bore of the support of a pane of glass, the blocks also having an oblique face susceptible of sliding and self-adjusting against an edge of the pane of glass. The invention notably enables a protective pane of glass to be fixed to a viewing screen.

Abstract: A toggle anchor for securing various types of articles to masonry or concrete walls and having a body portion and a retainer bar that is pivotally attached to the body portion and is sized so that it pivots with respect to the body portion in only one direction.

Abstract: A self-locking washer made of a flat elongated piece of material having a slot in one end of it. The washer is designed so that it can be placed underneath bolts or nuts which are already installed without completely removing the bolt or nut. A method of use of the self-locking washer is also disclosed.
