Abstract: The machine is characterized in that it comprises an upper platform (51) as a working table provided at its center with a cap-holder rotating disk (1) with intermittent rotation and equipped with several radial windows (61) into which respective caps (56) are housed, four workstations symmetrical and complementary being provided around the rotating disk (1) and placed with an offset angle of 90° there between, which includes: A cap feeder device (2), a flanging device (3), a gluing device (4) and a device for evacuating (5) said caps (56). It further comprises characteristic means for transmitting synchronized motions in order to perform various operations on the caps (56).
Abstract: The machine (4) operates continuously and is a single unit having a prismatic construction and a body with an upper base that incorporates a large rotary platen (1), a number of workstations (5) that are placed in said platen and are provided with diametrically opposite curling and sealing compound lining devices (6) and (7), one or more sets of feeding (8) and discharge (9) devices and common actuation means for these stations (5), internal to the machine (4), which machine may operate with any lids (2) or bases of any profile, adapting to any shape of these by rotating the lids (2) in the workstations (5).
Abstract: A simple or double head applies varnish to the covers in a circular motion and conical projection with adjustable height by means of a varnishing gun which can be provided with an additional separator of variable thickness according to the covers; it also comprises a cover conveyor device provided with another motor, an intermittent rotation box at the outlet, and a supply box which actuates a cover positioning device and a dosing blade which collects, separates and inserts the covers in a groove of the positioning device for their supply to the conveyor device.
Abstract: Apparatus for applying a sealant to an outer rim of a can lid supported on a rotating lift chuck for movement into and out of a location beneath a sealant applying gun wherein the can lid is held onto the rotating lift chuck during the application of the sealant by at least a partial vacuum. Also, each sealant applying gun is pivotally mounted between a first location blocking the removal of an underneath lift chuck and a second location permitting the removal of the underneath lift chuck.
Abstract: This invention is characterized by the efficient collaboration of magnetic devices and a revarnishing device which allow lids to pass at a high speed and round-the-clock trouble-free operation, on the basis of strips which house magnets which hold the lid while it is being carried and stop for a few tenths of a second opposite a nozzle of an easy-to-open incision revarnishing device spray gun.
Abstract: The improvements consists on the efficient collaboration of magnetic devices and a revarnishing device which allow the lids to pass at a high speed and round-the-clock trouble-free operation, on the basis of strips (8) which house magnets (9) which hold the lid (3) while it is being carried and stop for a few tenths of a second opposite a nozzle (4) of a easy-to-open incision revarnishing device spray gun (12).
Abstract: A turret type liner machine for applying sealing compound to can ends, the machine including a novel mist spray system for delivering cleaning fluid against the sealant injector nozzles located at each turret station.
Abstract: Compositions from 25% to 65% of a synthetic rubber block copolymer and from 75% to 35% plasticizer by weight are heated and mixed and applied, usually with a curing agent, to the lid or cover of a container such as a drum or pail. The application may take place while the lid or cover is revolved and the heated mixture is flowed on. The synthetic rubbers may be of the groups comprising SBS rubber, SIS rubber, or S-EB-S rubber. The plasticizer may be from the group comprising paraffin, oils or waxes, polyethylene, polypropylene or ethyl vinyl alcohol.Apparatus is also shown and described for implementing the application of the compositions to the lid or cover as it is revolved. If a groove is formed in the cover before reception of the composition, the apparatus extrudes or flows it into the groove and then the flowed-in material is permitted to set.
