Abstract: A vertical type wafer supporting jig is provided in which a ring-like support plate can be fixed to support pillars by a simple structure without conventional welding as a way of fixing and without risk of the ring-like support plate falling off, and in which repair can be rapidly made when needed. The vertical type wafer supporting jig is configured for mounting many wafers onto many support plates stacked and fixed in a vertical direction to plural support pillars with a predetermined wafer mounting interval being provided between them. Support groove parts for inserting and supporting the support plates are respectively formed in the vertical direction of the support pillars with a predetermined interval being provided between them. • Patent number: 6250514
Abstract: The present invention relates to a container for storing and discharging particulate material, in particular pulp chips. For the purpose of preventing bridge formation and making possible a simple and cost-effective design, the container is made so that a positive release is achieved in different transverse directions, after which the material is fed down towards the discharge end 2. The container 1 preferably has a rectangular cross section, with a number of container sections BS1-BS8 in succession from the infeed end 4 of the container to its discharge end 2. Two opposite sides in each container section are given a diverging deflection (5°) relative to the discharge end 2, and the other opposite sides in each container section are given a converging deflection (29°). In following container sections, converging sides change to diverging sides and vice versa, which results in the positive release of the material being achieved alternately with a 90° displacement.

  • Patent number: 6139241
Abstract: A silo for gravity flow storage of bulk particulate solids comprises downwardly converging and downwardly diverging walls. The downwardly converging walls form angles to the vertical that satisfy the conditions for mass flow. The walls impose particle velocity gradients in the horizontal cross sections of the silo, reducing interparticle cohesion, preventing the formation of arches and promoting uniformity of residence time within the silo. The modules may be vertically stacked, and may be clustered to increase capacity and to reduce pressure stress levels where required.

  • Patent number: 5976258
Abstract: A system and method for processing a substrate. The system includes a substrate heating station, a processing station, a conveyor for transporting the heated substrate from the substrate heating station to the processing station and a conveyor heating station. A substrate transfer station is located between the substrate heating station, the conveyor heating station and the processing station for the transfer of the heated substrate to the conveyor in a thermally controlled environment isolated from contaminants. The substrate transfer station includes a housing having an interior chamber, first and second inlets for the separate passage of a substrate and conveyor into the interior chamber, and an outlet for the egress of the substrate and conveyor. The transfer station also includes a heater and a guide assembly for directing the conveyor between the conveyor inlet and the outlet.

  • Patent number: 5845566
Abstract: A multi-slot closed type powerful garbage compression structure including a housing, an inner cylinder internally provided with guide plates and being inclined forwardly, and a push bar behind the inner cylinder. The housing is provided with four slots at a rear section adapted to receive garbage, and a garbage outlet at a front end, the outlet being provided with a slide plate, and a waste water receiving trough at a bottom side. When garbage is dumped into the housing via the slots, the push bar rotates to push the garbage into the inner cylinder which rotates to compress the garbage. When the garbage inside the inner cylinder is full, the push bar may prevent reverse flow of the garbage. By the use of both the push bar and the guide plates inside the inner cylinder, better compression effects are achievable to reduce garbage storage space and eliminate use of hydraulic cylinders and thrust devices.

  • Patent number: 5755837
Abstract: A pyrolysis gasifier includes a first auger (26) which moves carbon from a carbon collection tank (24) through an air lock valve (30) to a carbon holding tank (28). The gasifier includes an inner cylindrical sleeve (80) which is configured such that there is a small air gap between it and an interior wall of the gasifier (16). The air lock valve (30) includes an inlet member (96) which connects the housing to a connecting tube from the first auger (26). A plate (100) within the housing is mounted such that in a closed position, the plate is sealingly positioned against a lower edge of the inlet member (96), while in an open position, the plate is away from the inlet member, permitting carbon to move into the carbon holding tank. A fuel spreader apparatus 53 is positioned at the top portion of the gasifier. It includes a stirring rod (44) and two opposed fuel paddle assemblies (67, 69) at the lower end thereof to spread the fuel over the cross-sectional area of the gasifier.

  • Patent number: 5626455
Abstract: A single tube catalyst loading device is provided which consists of a transport belt system, electric motor, and catalyst loading hopper. Using this equipment, it is possible to control the drop rate of catalyst pellets without incurring mechanical damage or breakage of the catalyst. By raising or lowering the hopper section above the transport belt, it is possible to increase or decrease the drop rate of catalyst. Drop rate is the critical parameter in controlling catalyst density within the tubes of an ethylene oxide reactor.
