Shiftable Or Removable Conveyor Unit Patents (Class 414/523)
  • Patent number: 11821151
Abstract: When spreading aggregate material onto a layer of bitumen/wet bitumen, when forming a road surface, the aggregate is commonly spread from a truck in reverse, potentially causing accidents and injuries. Safety is improved by providing a spreading vehicle that can be driven in the direction in which it is spreading the aggregate material. This is achieved by providing a second driving cab and driver controls at a location that would normally be considered the rearward end of the vehicle. The second driver cab is above a conveyor system conveying aggregate material from a hopper of the vehicle to a spreader box. The second driver cab allows the vehicle to be driven in the direction it is spreading material, by a driver who is facing the direction of travel, and who can see if the vehicle is about to hit anything or run into a worker in the surrounding area.

Abstract: A granular commodity wagon or grain cart assembly that includes a movable conveyor assembly supported by the grain cart. The conveyor assembly is movable between a stowed position and an in-use position. When in the stowed position, the conveyor assembly facilitates a compact footprint of the grain cart assembly for storage and/or transportation. When in the in-use position, the conveyor assembly can be oriented in generally longitudinal alignment with the longitudinal axis associated with the direction of travel of the grain cart assembly to facilitate loading of the cart with a commodity, such as grain, seeds, or beans collected by a harvester or other secondary harvest or collection and/or transport and/or storage vehicle or container.

Abstract: A conveyor and hoist apparatus for filling air seeder tanks has a vertical post and a telescoping hoist arm pivotally attached to a top end of the post. A hook hangs down from an outside end of the hoist arm and is pivotally attached thereto about a vertical and horizontal hook pivot axes. A conveyor rest supports a conveyor in a transport position wherein the post is between the conveyor and the tanks The hook engages a lift bar on top of the conveyor near the center of gravity thereof. An operator can manipulate the arm to move the conveyor from the transport position to an operating position with the intake end thereof is on the ground and a discharge end pointed into one of the tanks, or engage the hook member with a bag tether to raise a bag above the tanks to drain the contents into the tanks.

Abstract: The foldable truck bed extension deck and ramp assembly are mountable in a short-box pickup truck. The bed extension deck and ramp assembly have a comparable length to a full-size pickup truck box when deployed for use, and are jointly foldable to fit into a short-bed pickup truck with its tailgate closed when not used. The bed extension deck has a strong upper surface to resist deformation in rough use. The ramp member can be deployed with its front end matching the surface of the extension deck so that a vehicle can be driven along the ramp member and onto the deck surface without encountering any transition step.
