In another embodiment of the invention, the rearward end of the container is elevated during transport to prevent liquid in the container from coming into contact with the tail gate. In yet another embodiment of the container, the floor of the container is inclined upwardly and rearwardly from the forward end thereof to the rearward end thereof. A liquid collection tank may be positioned beneath the floor of the container which has an inlet in fluid communication with the interior of the container and a discharge outlet provided thereon to permit liquid in the tank to be selectively drained therefrom.

A mechanism including actuators and a guide can aid in moving the auger to the desired side for dispensing. The lift auger can further be folded in front of the bin when in a transport configuration, such as traveling on a road.

    Abstract: A cart is towed behind a combine harvester for collecting corn cobs and includes a conveyer belt feeding into a system for separating cobs from residue to be discharged and a tank for receiving and transporting the cobs. An unload auger is provided from the tank to one side of the cart while the cart moves forward. Power for driving the cart is obtained from a chopper drive of the combine harvester. The separating arrangement includes a series of sequential blower fans for blowing air through the discharged material as it is discharged from a conveyor and into a spreading guide disperses the residue. The cobs are conveyed using a series of augers where the auger to flight distance is at least 2 inches and particularly a pair of augers feed the cobs through a front wall of the tank so as to push cobs upwardly into the tank.

The cart has a frame supported on wheel structure at generally a constant height relative to the surface of the ground, and a grain tank is fixed to the frame. A lift assembly connected to the cart frame adjacent the tank supports a vertically adjustable high speed filling conveyor above the cart hitch. The filling conveyor is operable at a speed sufficient to throw the material along an arcuate path through a side opening in the intermodal container towards the opposite end of the container. The intermodal container can be filled directly from the grain cart with the end of the filling conveyor located outside of the container.

When actuated to prevent access, the safety interlock prevents a top cover from moving to a position that allows access to the conveyor through an open top of the trough and prevents a hopper door from moving to an opened position wherein an operator can access the conveyor mechanism through a bottom opening of the trough. The safety interlock system can be configured such that a hydraulic drive motor is disconnected from the conveyor mechanism before allowing the top cover and the door to move to positions providing access to the conveyor mechanism.

The bags can be filled at a remote location. The apparatus may be attached to a vehicle, such as a skid steer, tractor or truck, and can replace an existing bucket of a front end loader. The bucket scoops a quantity of bulk material into the bucket. An auger mounted in the bucket is driven by a motor to force a flow stream of bulk material out an opening in the bucket. An open container is placed adjacent the flow stream to rapidly fill the container with bulk material. The apparatus can also be provided as a retrofit kit to convert an existing bucket into a bagging apparatus.

    Abstract: The grain holding bin of a combine harvester can be rapidly unloaded either on-the-go or at a standstill by an inclined unloading conveyor having its intake end at a low point in the bin adjacent the far side of the bin. The unloading conveyor extends gradually upwardly and outwardly in a straight line from its intake end to a point above and beyond the opposite side of the bin to provide a straight, unrestricted run for grain being unloaded without twists, turns and significant breaks in auger flighting. The outer end of the unloading conveyor can be pivoted back into a rearwardly extending transport position about a simple generally upright pivot hinge.
