Endless Or Rotary Carrier And Drag Line Scoop Patents (Class 414/570)
  • Patent number: 6038795
Abstract: A dredge having substantially a box-like shape, with an open front face and an open rear face, the rear face having a door hinged thereto and a lock member to hold the door in a locked position. An A-shaped frame member is pivotally secured to the front end of the dredge. Pivotable motion of the A-frame raises the front edge of the dredge over an obstruction. A pulley assembly is secured to the rear top end of the dredge, and a cable from the A-frame is placed over the pulley when the A-frame is to be pivoted to raise the dredge. A door is hinged to the rear side of the dredge. A locking hinge is secured to the rear of the dredge to lock the door in a closed position. The locking hinge includes a pivoting edge, which engages the top edge of the door, and a rectangular bar secured under the locking hinge. The rectangular bar has a width greater than the height so that rotation of the bar produces a pivoting motion of the locking hinge to unlock the door.

  • Patent number: 4329795
Abstract: A walking dragline excavator massive hollow internally reinforced base frame has built-in annular rail girder means over which annular track means are carried for running thereon of roller means adapted for supporting the revolving frame on the annular track means. Load stress distribution between the base frame and the revolving frame is attained by having an annular area contiguous to the perimeter of the base frame of greater resilient flexibility than the remainder of the base frame. Means comprising either bolts or clips are provided for releasably connecting the track means to the base frame and for permitting load stress relief circumferentially directed relative movement of the track means and the base frame under load transmitted through roller means by the revolving frame during load lifting and operational revolving of the revolving frame.

  • Patent number: 4256342
Abstract: A novel dragline is provided which is equipped with hopper means and loading means. More specifically, the dragline of the invention comprises a hopper means mounted on the front portion of a revolving frame rotatably mounted on a mobile base, the hopper means receiving rocks and stones, soil and sand, minerals and the like dug and carried by a bucket, a guide means for guiding the bucket to a position over the hopper means so that the excavated material is loaded into the hopper means, and a loading means disposed below the hopper means for receiving and transferring the material into another transport means, at least the downstream end portion of the loading means being pivotable. The dragline of the invention makes it possible to dig rocks and stones, soil and sand, minerals, etc. in an efficient manner on a large scale and to load them into a transport means.
