  • Patent number: 9277691
Abstract: A hydraulically tilting dual bale spear having multiple bale tines is presented. The bale spear has a first frame and a second frame connected to one another at a pivot point. A hydraulic cylinder is positioned between the first frame member and the second frame member. When activated, the hydraulic cylinder tilts the second frame with respect to the first frame member thereby providing a safer, faster and more efficient way to gather and pick up bales. The benefit over a non-tilting dual bale spear is that it allows the operator to pick up two bales without stopping or dragging the first bale across the ground and ripping the net wrap. It also allows the operator to level out the two bales once picked up for easier off load onto a truck or trailer.

Abstract: A scoop assembly is disclosed for a wheel dozer. The scoop assembly includes a frame that includes right and left lift arms that may be coupled together by a distal cross beam. The lift arms include proximal portions that extend between the two cross beams and a distal hook-shaped portion that extends forward beyond the distal cross beam. The distal hook-shaped portions pivotally connect to the bucket. The distal cross beam provides a place for the location of a bracket that supports a single dump cylinder that extends upward into a central pocket disposed in the back of the bucket. The dump cylinder is protected from debris due to its raised position and placement inside a centralized pocket that does not experiment the flow of debris materials.

  • Patent number: 7475887
Abstract: A pallet jack having first and second turn radii includes a support frame having a first end and a second end. The support frame is positionable between a raised position and a lowered position. A main wheel connects to the support frame proximate the first end while a first extensible wheel connects to the support frame proximate the second end. The distance between the main wheel and the extensible wheel define the first turn radius when the support frame is in the raised position. A ground engaging device attaches to the support frame between the main wheel and the first extensible wheel. Positioning the support frame towards the lowered position, the ground engageable device engages the ground and the extensible wheel disengages the ground. The second turn radius is thereby defined by the distance between the main wheel and the ground engaging device, which is less than the first turn radius.

Abstract: A steering device for decreasing a turning radius of a pallet jack includes a ground engaging member connected to a support member of the pallet jack between a main wheel and an extensible wheel. The load supporting member of the pallet jack is positionable between a raised position and a lowered position. A first turning radius of the pallet jack is defined by the distance between the main wheel and the extensible wheel. While the extensible wheel engages the ground when the support frame is positioned towards the raised position, positioning the support member towards the lowered position engages the ground engageable member with the ground causing the extensible wheel to disengage the ground. The main wheel and the ground engageable member then define a second turning radius which is less than the first turning radius.

Abstract: A device for mounting an appliance (such as a backhoe excavator) on a vehicle (such as a tractor) comprises a fixed frame secured to the vehicle, and a movable frame to which the appliance is pivotally connected by means of a kingpost. The movable frame has elements thereon which are slidable along respective linear guides on the fixed frame, thereby enabling the movable frame to be pivoted relative to the fixed frame under the control of a drive so as to offset the kingpost from the center line of the vehicle. The guides converge at a predetermined angle rearwardly of the vehicle, and the elements subtend the same angle to the kingpost so that the kingpost moves along a straight line at right angles to the vehicle center line as the movable frame is pivoted with respect to the fixed frame. This arrangement enables the appliance to be pivoted relative to the vehicle about a comparatively large angle without fouling the rear (particularly the rear wheels) of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4257731
Abstract: A power-operated implement mechanism mounted on the tip of a boom. The mechanism includes a torque tube which is rotated under power to rotate an implement mounting. A fluid-operated ram which is actuated to cause opening and closing of work implements in the mechanism has its rod extending downwardly through the torque tube then to be connected through linkage to the work implements. The work implements are pivotally mounted on the implement mounting. The implement mounting is rotated about the axis of the torque tube through power-operated means operatively connected to the torque tube.
