To Opposite Face Of Blade Patents (Class 415/54.1)
  • Fan
    Patent number: 8702403
Abstract: A fan includes a housing having a compartment formed inside, and at least one lateral air inlet and at least one lateral air outlet both penetrating through the inner and outer surfaces of the housing and communicating with the compartment. A motor is mounted inside the compartment of the housing and has a stator and an impeller, with the impeller rotatably coupled to the stator and further containing a hub and a plurality of blades mounted to a top of the hub. Each blade has a first end and a second end in the radial direction of the impeller opposite to each other, with the first end of each blade facing outward, and with the second ends of the plural blades defining an airflow-area.

  • Patent number: 7811049
Abstract: A flow control arrangement is provided for a gas turbine engine in which an inlet slot is positioned prior to a stationary structure such as a stator or pylon in order that air flow is bled or removed from a mainflow. The removed air passes through a passage duct and is re-injected through an outlet nozzle with an askew angle consistent with an angle of rotor blades of a turbine. In such circumstances, distortion in the flow due to the stationary structure is relieved such that there is less instability downstream from that structure.

  • Patent number: 7090460
Abstract: A side channel pump, preferably a vacuum pump, includes a driven rotor (16) and a fixed stator (14). The rotor (16) and the stator (14) define a pump channel circulating in a peripheral direction. Blades are fixed onto the rotor, protruding into the cross-section of the pump channel. The pump channel also includes a blade-free side channel (44). The pump channel (22) containing the side channel (44) extends in a helical manner around the rotor (16). The pump channel is advantageously not limited to the length of a winding but can have the length of substantially any number of uninterrupted windings. As a result, a high suction performance and a high compression ratio in the pump can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 6244815
Abstract: A pneumatically-driven, turbine device comprises a Terry turbine rotor coaxially disposed within a rigid housing equipped with a reentry port bordering an exhaust port. The rotor comprises a plurality of radially spaced-apart air buckets. An air pathway is established between an inlet and an exhaust outlet, extending through the reentry port, the exhaust port, and portions of the rotor buckets. The reentry port comprises a narrow arc defined in the race. At least a portion of the exhaust groove borders, but is separated from, the reentry port. Entering air initially impacts a first rotor bucket disposed adjacent the reentry port. Halves of the first two buckets are disposed radially adjacent the reentry port. Opposite halves of the first and second buckets adjoin the unmachined race area spaced apart from the reentry port.
