  • Patent number: 11649797
Abstract: The present invention relates to a waterpower stream amplifier device primarily comprised of a body with an outer surface further comprised of at least one exterior protrusion and an interior surface further comprised of at least one angular flow director. The device can be placed/combined with the rotor of an underwater hydroelectric turbine in order to concentrate and multiple the energy of the water stream entering the turbine. The at least one angular flower director of the interior surface, the at least one exterior protrusions and at least one longitudinal opening of the outer surface allows water to enter the interior surface of the body from all directions. As a result, a rotating water vortex is created within the interior surface as the water travels from the first end towards the second end.

  • Patent number: 9853531
Abstract: Some embodiments of a fan clutch system for use in a vehicle can provide efficient access to one or more components for inspection and service even after the fan clutch system is installed in the vehicle. In particular embodiments, the fan clutch system can include a fan clutch device and a coil retainer assembly that are removably mounted to a right-angle gear box assembly in a manner that permits a technician to accessing at least one component for inspection, repair, or replacement. The coil retainer assembly may at least partially house an electromagnetic coil for selective activation. The system may further include a fan clutch device removably mounted to the drive member of the gear box assembly.

  • Publication number: 20140147252
Abstract: A power tool having a built-in fan, the fan including a plurality of blades at uneven pitches. The fan includes a centrifugal fan which blows out air in all radial directions. The fan is provided with means for correcting unstable outflow which may be caused by the uneven pitches between the blades. The blades have unevenly configured inducers for correcting unstable outflow.

  • Patent number: 5123641
Abstract: Underwater exercise apparatus includes at least one paddle, which is coupled to an axle causing the paddle to rotate in response to rotation of the axle. When under water, the paddle produces resistance to the rotation of the axle. In a preferred embodiment, the paddle may be made part of a treadmill for underwater use for varying the resistance to movement of the treadmill belt. In a treadmill embodying the invention, the axle of one of the rollers supporting the belt, which roller is tightly coupled to the belt, extends beyond the side edge of the belt. Directly connected to the extending end of the axle, for rotation therewith, is a paddle. In use, movement of the belt causes rotation of the paddle through the water. The water resists the movement of the paddle which, in turn, resists movement of the belt. The amount of resistance to belt movement is a function of the speed of movement of the belt and the size of the paddle which is designed to be readily changed as desired.

  • Patent number: 4523434
Abstract: An air ventilator for ventilating indoor air to the environment comprising a motor provided with a shaft, a rotor mounted on said shaft, a plurality of fan blades pivotally attached to the rotor, a rotating circular plate having a plurality of sliding slots and a plurality of connecting holes mounted on said shaft of the motor, a fixed circular plate connected to the rotating circular plate with pins and mounted on the shaft of said motor, centrifugal weight members disposed between the fixed circular plate and the rotating circular plate, and a torsion coil spring connecting the centrifugal weight member with the rotating circular plate for elastically supporting the weight member, whereby when the motor is operating, the centrifugal weight members engage the rotating circular plate, apply a circumferential directional force thereto, and angularly displace the circular plate, said displacement being transmitted to the fan blades for ventilating the inside air to the environment; and when the motor is not ope
