Patent number: 8449274Abstract: A magnetic reciprocating pump includes a tube having ends defining intake and discharge ports, first and second magnetic plungers axially aligned within the tube of corresponding cross section for reciprocation therewithin, and a plurality of longitudinally spaced coils circumscribing the tube for driving the plungers axially when electrically energized. A gap is defined between the plungers so that the first plunger is slidable between one tube end and the second plunger and the second plunger is slidable between the other tube end and the first plunger. The first plunger closes one port when moved thereagainst and has a peripheral flow path permitting flow when moved away. The second plunger closes the other port when moved thereagainst and has an outer peripheral flow path and a communicating inner axial flow path permitting flow when moved away. The plungers when moved together close the second plunger axial flow path.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2011Date of Patent: May 28, 2013Assignee: SIELC Technologies CorporationInventor: Yury Zelechonok

Patent number: 6162030Abstract: A Positive Fluid Displacement Device (PFDD) with a removable Fluid Displacement Module (FDM) having two opposing pistons connected to a drive block. The drive block slides over a crankpin bearing in assembly to provide orbital piston motion. Opposing cylinders are held within a carriage for reciprocating motion. An opening in the reciprocating cylinder head allows fluid communication to the displacement chamber through inlet and outlet ports in a floating port plate. The flat surfaces of the port plate and cylinder head wipe across each other during cylinder head movement. The piston head carries a protrusion sized to fill the cylinder head opening. Micro-adjustment mechanisms for the position of the cylinder head together with compliant piston and compliant cylinder mechanisms can provide near zero dead volume. Different sized opposing cylinders enable the delivery of pumped fluids in precise ratios.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 1998Date of Patent: December 19, 2000Assignee: EncyNova International, Inc.Inventor: Michel A. Patent number: 5899675Abstract: A pump 1 comprises a chamber 2 having a inlet opening 22 and an outlet opening 21. The chamber 2 extends between a first main wall 30 and a second main wall 40. The first main wall 30 is a triangular bottom wall of a body 3. The second main wall 40 is a part of a triangular bottom wall of a tub 4. The body 3 is tiltable relative to the tub 4 so that the volume of the chamber 2 is variable. The pump 1 comprises an outlet valve for blocking the outlet opening 21 when the volume of the chamber 2 is increased and an inlet valve for blocking the inlet opening when the volume of the chamber 2 is reduced. The outlet valve is formed by a first portion 31 of the body 3. This first portion 31 of the body blocks the outlet opening when the body is urged against the outlet opening 21. The inlet valve is formed by a second portion 32 of the body 3. This second portion 32 of the body blocks the inlet opening when the body is urged against the outlet opening 21.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 1996Date of Patent: May 4, 1999Assignee: U.S. Philips CorporationInventors: Emanuel L. Patent number: 5316454Abstract: An inexpensive, efficient pump which can supply lubricating oil uses the revolving motion of an orbiting scroll 2. The pump is so constructed that a piston supported by a fixing member 1 is fitted in a cylinder chamber 102 formed in the inner surface of the end plate 21 of an orbiting scroll 2 which revolves while sliding on the fixing member, by which a pump chamber 104 is defined between them. The piston 101 is extended or retracted depending on the revolving motion of orbiting scroll 2, the volume of the pump chamber 104 is increased or decreased, and a fluid suction port 105 and a fluid discharge port 106 are connected to the pump chamber 104 at predetermined time intervals to supply the fluid.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 1992Date of Patent: May 31, 1994Assignee: Mitsubishi Jukogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Makoto Fujitani, Yukio Nagato, Kimiharu Takeda, Katsumi Hirooka, Tetsuzo Ukai, Toshiyuki Shikanai

Patent number: 5071325Abstract: The present invention is a fuel primer pump capable of manually injecting fuel into the carburetor of an internal combustion engine, and is adapted to include both enrichment and shut-off positions. The primer pump includes a housing sealed at one end by an end cap which defines inlet and outlet openings. An internal piston is disposed within the housing for manual pumping of fuel. A relatively free floating valve pin, mounted on the internal piston, prevents an unwanted flow of fuel through the primer pump when the pump is disposed in the shut-off position. The valve pin is slidably retained within a cavity in the piston which opens onto the face of the piston proximate the end cap defining the outlet passageway. The valve pin is spring biased toward the outlet passageway and centers itself in the passageway seat due to the free floating nature thereof. The valve pin becomes disengaged from the seat when the primer pump is placed in the enrichment position, allowing the flow of fuel through the primer pump.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 1990Date of Patent: December 10, 1991Inventors: Willis E.
