Unitary Or Interconnected Elements Form Inlet Or Discharge Distributors For Plural Chambers Patents (Class 417/524)
  • Patent number: 9494144
Abstract: A piston pump for a high-pressure cleaning appliance is provided, including a pump block having a plurality of pump chambers, into each of which one piston plunges, and including a pump head having a suction inlet and a pressure outlet, each pump chamber in flow connection via a suction valve with the suction inlet and via a pressure valve with the pressure outlet, and including a clamping bracket engaging around the pump head. The piston pump can have a single U-shaped clamping bracket oriented symmetrically in relation to the longitudinal pump axis, and the pump head and the pump block form between them downstream of the pressure valves a pressure chamber in which a central, piston-like insert part is arranged, the insert part being surrounded by a sealing element and having a passage, and a pressure line oriented coaxially with the longitudinal pump axis being arranged downstream of the passage.

  • Patent number: 7721641
Abstract: An air compression apparatus has a frame, a tank, and a motor. A drive mechanism is operably connected to the motor and at least one piston assembly is operably connected to the drive mechanism and configured to move within a respective cylinder mounted to the frame. The piston assembly includes: (1) a piston body; (2) a piston rod having a hollow bore connected at one end to the drive mechanism and at an opposite end to the piston body; and (3) a piston valve installed on the piston body. In use, upward travel of the piston body as caused by the drive mechanism acting through the piston rod opens the piston valve and allows ambient air to be drawn through the hollow bore into the cylinder, and downward travel of the piston body closes the piston valve so as to compress the air within the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 6935850
Abstract: A dual-direction pump includes two cylinders arranged on opposite sides of a head portion and an inlet return-flow prevention device and a leakproof device mounted between the cylinder and the head portion for avoiding leakage at the juncture between the cylinder and the head portion or leakage induced by reverse flow in one of the cylinders in the case of a single-sided pumping operation in the other cylinder. The head portion has an outlet port to which an outlet return-flow prevention device is mounted. A knob is rotatably mounted to the outlet pot and a nut is fixed to the knob for selectively engaging an inflation valve to avert detachment. The outlet return-flow prevention device prevents reverse or return flow induced in the outlet port in order to reduce resistance caused thereby and enhances pumping efficiency.

Abstract: Container for storing food products including a base defining a product support surface for supporting the food product and a cover releasably engaging with the base such that when the cover engages with the base, a storage compartment is defined by the cover and the base. The cover includes an air control unit for controlling air pressure in the storage compartment and a window extending downward from the air control unit to surround food products in the storage compartment. A product supported on the product support surface of the base is visible through the window when the cover engages with the base. By providing the window as part of the cover, the base is separable from the window to thereby expose the product support surface of the base so that cakes can be easily placed on the product support surface and then enclosed by the cover.

Abstract: Replace the abstract in the instant application with the following abstract: A compressor has a reciprocating piston operating in a working area to compress the working medium, a drive unit for the reciprocating movement of the piston, and an intake and discharge device for supplying and expelling the working medium. The liner, in which the piston reciprocates, is manufactured as one piece with a valve plate. Further, the slider crank mechanism used to drive the piston is provided as a drive unit. As a result, the size of the compressor can be substantially reduced, virtually vibration-free motion is achieved, and the compressor reliability is appreciably enhanced.

  • Patent number: 5788469
Abstract: A fuel injection system for injecting gasoline or other fuel directly into the combustion chambers of an internal combustion engine includes a fuel pump having a fixed barrel member therein which has a plurality of bores forming cylinders extending therethrough. A pumping piston extends into one open end of each of the cylinder bores. The piston is supported for reciprocal movements as produced by an input mechanism, such as a shaft and swash plate. A fluid inlet passage and inlet check valve are positioned at one end portion of each piston so that fluid can be drawn into the pumping chamber formed by the cylinder bore and piston. The other open end of the cylinder bore in the barrel member serves as an outlet for fluid from the pumping chamber and a flat reed valve portion of an outlet valve plate overlies the open end to prevent fludi from reentering the pumping chamber during an inletting stroke.

  • Patent number: 5378117
Abstract: A cylindrical gas compressor has inlet valves confined therewithin, at opposite ends thereof, and discharge valves, shaft-mounted therebetween, for reciprocation to ingest and compress admitted gas. Outboard of the inlet valves are circular plates from which extend a plurality of fingers. The plates are confined within chambers in the compressor, and radial ports are provided for admitting pressured fluid to the plates to cause them to move inboard, whereby the fingers penetrate the inlet valves and remove the inlet valve valving elements off the valve seat, effecting unloading of the inlet valves. Springs hold the plates outboard of the inlet valves, to allow the valves to function normally-loaded, in the absence of the plate-displacing, ports-admitted, pressured fluid.

  • Patent number: 5011383
Abstract: The assembly, designed for use in combination with a straight-cylinder, gas-compression chamber, has a center bolt which is threaded at opposite ends thereof to receive a pair of valve sets. Each of the latter has a ported valve seat, valve guard, and ported valve plate. The guard is set about the bolt, and against a shoulder formed on the bolt therefor. The seat is centrally threaded, to engage one of the threaded ends of the bolt, and it and the guard confine the valve plate therebetween. In that one of the valve sets is turned 180.degree. from the other, i.e., the two guards being in confrontation, and the two seats remotely disposed, vis-a-vis, the one valve set is open to fluid flow, while the other is closed, as the assembly is reciprocated in such a straight-cylinder, chamber. Identical valve sets, on different, short bolts set in end closures of such a chamber, serve as gas inlet valves, while the reciprocable assembly carries the discharge valves.
