  • Patent number: 7713033
Abstract: The present invention provides a fluid control system and associated methods. The fluid control system includes a source of a pressurized fluid and a first spool valve having at least two positions, wherein the first spool valve is connected in fluid communication with the source of the pressurized fluid. The fluid control system further includes a second spool valve having at least two positions, wherein the second spool valve is connected in fluid communication with the first spool valve and the source of the pressurized fluid. When the first spool valve is in a first position and the second spool valve is in a second position, a first portion of the pressurized fluid is directed from the source of the pressurized fluid to the second spool valve via the first spool valve.

  • Patent number: 7653958
Abstract: A steam mop having a main body including a water pump for pumping water from a water tank to a steam generator in response to any movement of the mop is provided. Movement of the mop causes a pump actuator to slide within a frame. The actuator has a camming surface with a pump piston rod biased against the camming surface that causes the pump piston rod to move in and out of a pump cylinder when the actuator moves. This operates a the pump to pump water to the steam generator for feeding steam to a steam pad mounted on a mop steam frame connected to the steam generator outlet.

  • Patent number: 7497670
Abstract: A reciprocating fluid transfer pump in which a pilot valve assembly block can be mounted to a main body block in a simple, easy and reliable manner. In the reciprocating fluid transfer pump, a fluid, which has been suctioned into a fluid delivering chamber (19), is discharged therefrom by causing an expanding and contracting action of a barrier membrane (6) which is attached to either end of a center rod (5). The center rod is capable of reciprocating with respect to the main body block (2). A peripheral portion of the barrier membrane (6) is clamped fixedly to the main body block (2) via a main ring (30), and a pilot valve assembly block (17) having an integrated pilot valve (16) for detecting the reciprocating motion of the center rod (5) is pressed against and thus fixedly secured to the main ring (30) via a sub ring (34).

Abstract: A two-way mechanical pump for a steam appliance having a main body having a boiler with a water inlet and a steam outlet positioned therein in provided. The bidirectional pump on two-way piston pump in accordance with the invention includes a cylinder separated into two chambers by a piston coupled to a piston rod or appliance handle. An inlet having a one-way valve and an outlet having a one-way valve are connected to each change. Movement of the piston from the first end of the cylinder to the second end expels liquid out of the second end and outlet and draws water into the first chamber through the first inlet and one-way valve and movement of the piston towards the first and expels water out of the first chamber and outlet through the first outlet valve and draws water into the second chamber through the second inlet and inlet valve.

  • Patent number: 7059500
Abstract: An apparatus for filling containers with viscous food product includes a plurality of pressure/vacuum fill head positioned above a plurality of containers. Each fill head includes a housing enclosing a plenum through which is longitudinally disposed a valve stem having in an outer cylindrical surface thereof a plurality of longitudinally disposed grooves terminated near a lower end of the stem by a cylindrical boss. The boss is biased into fluid pressure-tight sealing contact with a lower transverse end face of lower tubular portion of the housing by a helical compression spring which fits coaxially over a portion of the valve stem which protrudes upwardly from the housing, the spring being disposed between an upper transverse end wall of the housing, and the lower surface of a neck which protrudes radially outwardly from the upper end of the valve stem.

  • Patent number: 6499968
Abstract: A pumping unit, particularly for water supply in remote areas of the world, comprising a pump, control valve and tipping bucket mechanism enclosed in a single housing. The pumping unit is double-acting and, does not demand the presence of a drive pipe. The pump and the automatic control valve are powered by the potential energy of the supply and an independent power source is not necessary or required. The frequency at which the unit operates may be varied by adjustment of the supply of water to the tipping bucket.

  • Patent number: 5817955
Abstract: The apparatus for simultaneous aspiration and dispensation of fluids is in the form of a syringe with two chambers located end to end along the length of the syringe. Each syringe chamber includes a port. A piston inside the syringe includes a median section that is movable in both of the syringe chambers, a first end section movable only in one of the syringe chambers, and a second end section movable only in the other syringe chamber. Both end sections of the piston are of either less diameter than the median section of the piston or of greater diameter than the median section of the piston. When the piston is moved in a first direction, an aspiration or suction force is developed at one of the chamber ports and a dispensation pressure force is developed at the other chamber port. Reverse movement of the piston causes the opposite effect at the respective chamber ports. A compression seal is provided at the median section of the piston and at opposite non-adjacent end portions of the syringe chambers.
