Parallel Laterally Spaced Relatively Movable Pumping Members Patents (Class 417/539)
  • Patent number: 10514031
Abstract: A high hardness sleeve or surface treatment to a predetermined hardness is used in a packing bore for a fluid end of a pump assembly. The bore is either treated to provide the hardness or a sleeve is used which is fitted in an oversized bore for preventing washout failure. The sleeve is welded into the pump block and machined to the proper size bore. Thereafter the bore is protected from washout failure at this location. Alternatively, a surface of the sleeve is polished which further reduces the wear on the part. The sleeve can be a stainless steel material hardened by heat treating process or otherwise treated or carbon steel sleeves with the predetermined bore hardness which could be welded into a suitable bore in the pump. However, other processes for hardening the stainless steel can be used as long as desired predetermined surface hardness is maintainable.

The free-wheels block in opposite directions and are coupled to the displacement machines. Consequently, the first displacement machine is driven in a first rotating direction of the drive unit while the second displacement machine is only driven in a second, opposite rotating direction of the drive unit. • Patent number: 7278836
Abstract: A metering pump that is capable of delivering a constant, rate of fluid over a wide range of viscosities at infinitely variable delivery rates. Two identical pumping chambers are provided with one operating in the suction mode, and the other in the discharge mode with each cylinder switching modes at each pumping cycle, thereby providing continuous delivery of fluid in and out of the pump. The displacement of the chamber is large in order to facilitate operation at a very slow cycle speed of only one to four reciprocations per minute. The fluid valves are mechanically operated providing for positive sealing thus enabling the pump to operate at very slow speeds without leakage.

  • Patent number: 6821096
Abstract: A plural component pumping apparatus including a piston and cylinder for each component to be pumped. Reciprocation of the piston in the cylinder draws the component into the cylinder during an intake stroke of the pumping apparatus and exhausts the material from the cylinder during an exhaust stroke of the pumping apparatus. Intake and exhaust valves are provided into the cylinder. Each of the intake and exhaust valve includes a housing oriented outside the cylinder to facilitate repair or replacement of the valves. A pumping motor on each side of the cylinder is coupled to a support and to the piston to move the support and piston relatively toward each other during the exhaust stroke and relatively away from each other during the intake stroke. A position indicator is coupled to the pumping motor. The pumping motor controls sense the position of the position indicator.

  • Patent number: 6773238
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for pumping high delivery volumes of a liquid, with at least two pumps each forming a single structural unit, which are jointly hooked up to a pressure line on the delivery side, and coupled to a single drive. The device according to the invention further develops the known device described in greater detail above in such a way as to provide an easily transported and space-saving device. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that at least one pump (4) is positioned in a plane spaced vertically apart from the plane in which the respective other pump (5, 6) is located.

  • Patent number: 6733248
Abstract: A pump has wobble pistons rigidly connected to arms of a nutating plate that is mounted on a bearing eccentrically mounted to a drive shaft by a counterweight. The piston assembly is nearly perfectly balanced by the counterweight due to its precisely defined moment of inertia and mass components. In particular, the counterweight produces a counter moment equal to the average moment produced by the piston assembly, preferably with a mass moment of inertia component corresponding to the average mass moment of inertia of the piston assembly. It also has a mass component providing a counter balance force opposing a radial force arising from the piston assembly having a center of gravity spaced from the shaft axis, and it has a mass component providing a counter balance moment opposing the moment arising from the counter balance force and the center of gravity of the piston assembly being spaced apart axially.
