  • Patent number: 7495575
Abstract: A gear pump for the dosed conveyance of pigmented lacquers or paints and which is adapted for use with a painting robot. The gear pump comprises two toothed wheels meshing with one another and which are mounted within a pump housing in such a manner that they can be rotated by a driven drive shaft and a fixed bearing shaft. For this, the drive shaft is mounted by a bearing section at multiple points in a pump housing and a coupling section of the drive shaft projects out of the pump drive to connect to a drive. In order, on the one hand, to avoid wear due to high pressure forces and, on the other hand, to absorb a pronounced load from the outside, a supporting bearing for the radial and axial support of the drive shaft is formed on the drive shaft's coupling section projecting outside of the pump housing.

  • Patent number: 7407372
Abstract: A progressing cavity pump or a motor includes, in one embodiment, an outer tube 12, an inner tube 14, and a plurality of apertures 16. A pair of annular seal glands 18 seal the stator material to the outer tube. The stator material is injection molded into the inner tube and passes through the plurality of apertures and into an annular gap between the inner tube and the outer tube. In other embodiments, the outer housing for a progressing cavity pump or motor is provided with one or more grooves, with each groove having an outer surface radius less than the outer housing surface radius. A plurality of apertures are provided in fluid communication with the grooves. According to the method of the invention, the stator material is injected into the apertures and fills a space radially outward of the apertures to bond the stator materiaal to the outer housing.

  • Patent number: 7287970
Abstract: A roots compressor has a housing, a rotary shaft, a rotor and a layer. The housing defines a pump chamber, a suction port and a discharge port. The suction port and the discharge port adjoin to the pump chamber. The rotary shaft is rotatably supported by the housing. The rotor is connected to the rotary shaft and contained in the pump chamber. Fluid introduced into the pump chamber through the suction port is discharged to the outside of the pump chamber through the discharge port by rotation of the rotor which is driven through the rotary shaft. The layer is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the housing, which defines the pump chamber. The layer is thinner from a side adjacent to the suction port toward a side adjacent to the discharge port in circumferential direction of the housing.

Separating member 50 separates the cavity of housing 31 into a divided space 77a, a divided space 7b and a divided space 77c. A curved face 42 having a larger radius of curvature than rotor 40 is formed in a limited circumferential angular region at an outer peripheral surface of rotor 40. A space 43 is maintained between the curved face 42 and housing 31 even when the curved face 42 is closest to the inner face of housing 31. The space 43 forms a passage between an inlet port and an outlet port. When rotor 40 is rotated, there is a smaller degree of change in the resistance in the passage 43, and rotor 40 rotates smoothly.

Abstract: An abradable coating is formed on portions of the flank wall of the wraps of a scroll compressor. The radially outer portions of the flank wall are left uncoated, and can bear a force between the scroll wraps. In this manner, the load is not transferred through a coated portion, but rather through the uncoated portion. As the scroll wraps move relative to each other at run-in, the abradable coating wears away leaving a tight fit between the flank walls at the radially inner locations.

Abstract: A vane pump includes a cylindrical rotor rotatable inside of an oval-shaped rotor chamber of cam ring disposed between a pressed plate and a pressure plate. The rotor has opposite sides and a peripheral outer surface in which radial vane slots are formed and guide slideable vanes. The rotor is coated on its surfaces with a film of abradable coating material which reduces the operating clearance between the rotor and the thrust and pressure plates and cam ring so as to increase the volumetric efficiency of the pump.

Abstract: A vane type fluid machine includes: a casing; a rotor rotating in the casing; and a plurality of vanes supported by the rotor to slide on an inner surface of the casing. A seal portion of each vane is formed to be elastically deformable so as to slide on the inner surface of the casing while bending backward of a rotational direction of the rotor. Therefore, an improved structure of the seal portion of each vane secures good sealing performance even if machining accuracy of the inner surface of the casing is alleviated.
