Three Or More Patents (Class 418/20)
  • Patent number: 7195467
Abstract: A fluidic machine has a fixed body, an external orbital member rotatable around a first rotational axis and internal gear teeth including a first teeth number, a transmission member rotatable around a second rotational axis, an internal orbital member supported by the transmission member, having external gear teeth including a second teeth number different from the first teeth number and meshing with the internal gear teeth of the external orbital member, thus determining among the gear teeth of the two orbital members spaces whose volume is variable during rotation. One of the orbital members is mounted axially displaceable and is pushed by an elastic push member in the direction producing a more extended engagement with the other orbital member, and a piston, mounted displaceable within the non-axially displaceable orbital member and resting against the axially displaceable orbital member, is subjected, to the pressure of the high pressure connection.

  • Patent number: 6887057
Abstract: A positive displacement device that incorporates two rotors that are offset from collinear and each comprising a first and second set of vanes where the engagement surfaces of the first set of vanes are adapted to only engage when the rotors are in the top dead center location and the second set of lobes of each rotor only engage one another at the bottom dead center position of rotataion.

  • Patent number: 5513969
Abstract: The invention comprises a rotary piston machine, which functions as a pump, compressor or engine, and in which the cogs (45) of teeth (46) of a rotating control part travel over a cycloidal surface (44) of a cycloidal part (42) in order to define work chambers (28), wherein the cycloidal part (42) likewise rotates (FIG. 10).

  • Patent number: 5184947
Abstract: A fully variable output hydraulic pump includes a main casing having a fluid pumping chamber extending therethrough, fluid input ports and fluid output ports. The fluid pumping chamber is shaped to receive a pair of cylindrically shaped gears inserted axially therethrough. A first rotatable gear and second rotatable gear are insertable through the pumping chamber. The first and second gears are rotatably supported by respective means which are axially translatable relative to each other. A means for sealing the area between the gears and the main casing effectively creates a sealed fluid pumping chamber. By translating one of said means for rotatably supporting the gears, the effective fluid pumping volume within the fluid pumping chamber may be altered to provide a fully variable output hydraulic pump.

  • Patent number: 5161961
Abstract: By using multiple external gears and internal gears, which are engaged with each other, and multiple radial sealing elements and axial sealing elements, a pump or motor, which includes multiple equivalent pumps or motors, is made. Each gear included in thus made gear pump or motor is radially hydraulically counterbalanced, even completely hydro-mechanically counterbalanced, loads on bearings being able to become zero. Axial gaps and radial gaps both have been compensated. The pump or motor can stagelessly vary its output. Accordingly, a gear pump or motor with constant output or stagelessly variable output, as well as a relevant stageless hydraulic speed variator, can be made, which will have lower production cost, higher transmission efficiency and higher power density.

  • Patent number: 5005982
Abstract: A material processor for processing materials to improve their rheological and material properties includes a housing defining a process chamber and having an inlet for introducing materials therein and an outlet for discharging materials therefrom. Intermeshing gears are rotatably positioned in the process chamber and define an area of intermesh which is positioned in the flow path between the inlet and the outlet of the process chamber. A power source is provided for rotating one or both of the intermeshing gears. The mesh between the gears is such that during rotation, a clearance exists therebetween permitting a path between the gears such that material may flow from the discharge side to the inlet side of the gears through the intermesh and be subjected to extreme pressures, localized heating, shear and cavitation effects resulting in the processing of the materials.

  • Patent number: 4887956
Abstract: The invention provides a variable output pump of the gerotor type in which one rotor meshes in two side by side annulii which can be aligned for maximum output and turned in opposite directions to be non-aligned for minimum output. The movement is effected by a gear train displaced by a rack which is hydraulically operated by pump pressure. Hence high pressure displaces the rack to result in lower output against lower pressure. A variation is described in which a control spool diverts fluid to either side of the piston according to need and this is displaced in one direction by the derived fluid pressure and in the other direction additionally by spring pressure transferred from the piston position by a lever system. This can give desired pump output/speed results at reduced power consumption.

  • Patent number: 4812111
Abstract: An internally meshing gear-pump, or motor comprises inlet and outlet ports 27,28 for the working fluid through a sealing plate 5 mounted on the shaft 1, an externally-toothed gear 2 is longitudinally displaceable relative to internally-toothed gears 3,4 to vary the pump or motor displacement, a sealing member 6 is secured to the end-face of the gear 2 which separates the displacement chambers 29,30 from the varying volume spaces which may be filled by controlled working fluid formed in both longitudinal and diametrically opposite regions 11,12. When the gear 2 is moved longitudinally from the maximum displacement position to the extreme left to a reduced capacity position and thus varies the output of the pump or motor mounting these machines back-to-back or in other combinations, a continuously variable and or differential transmission of working fluid may be obtained. Additionally electrical windings 85,86 may be mounted in the casings 7,8.

  • Patent number: 4778361
Abstract: A variable output gerotor oil pump of the kind having a common rotor with n teeth meshed with two axially juxtaposed internally lobed annuli with n+1 teeth has the annuli individually located in eccentrics formed with gear teeth to be turned in opposite directions by a gear drive. The teeth are straight cut, not bevel, and the drive includes an intermediate pinion so that a single shaft turns the eccentrics in opposite directions.
