Abstract: In a scroll compressor of the present invention, a fixed scroll 11 and an orbiting scroll 12 are meshed with each other such that spiral laps of the fixed scroll 11 and the orbiting scroll 12 inwardly face each other, an Oldham ring 26 is provided between the main bearing member 19 and the orbiting scroll 12, and a key portion of the Oldham ring 26 is inserted into a key groove 19a of the main bearing member 19. Grooves 19b are formed in Oldham ring 26 sliding surfaces on both sides of the key groove 19a. According to this configuration, the Oldham ring 26 and the main bearing member 19 can be restrained from coming into contact with each other in the vicinity of the bearing key groove 19a, and restrained from vibrating, and it is possible to provide an inexpensive scroll compressor of low noise.

Abstract: To fasten an auxiliary crank for prevention of autorotation of an orbiting scroll to a compressor-casing side bearing in a scroll compressor, a tool must access from a motor side to a compressor casing so as to fasten the auxiliary crank to the compressor-casing side bearing. Therefore, fastening between the auxiliary crank and the bearing cannot be made after a motor section and a compressor body are fastened together. This necessitates the steps of: separating the compressor body from the motor section; fastening the auxiliary crank to the compressor casing; and then fastening the compressor body and the motor section together. A compressor-motor integrated scroll compressor cannot be assembled in sequential steps, entailing increased assembly costs and lowered maintenability. A plurality of notches or holes is formed on a motor housing or the compressor casing.

Abstract: An Oldham coupling structure for a scroll compressor decreases Oldham coupling pressure loading without increasing compressor diameter or significantly increasing orbiting scroll or Oldham coupling inertia. The Oldham coupling key height and area are increased by recessing the key face into the ring portion of the Oldham coupling, increasing the key height and adding pads to the involute side of the orbiting scroll base plate to extend the key slot, potentially resulting in reduced compressor diameter and/or reduced orbiting scroll and Oldham coupling inertia.

Abstract: Scroll type fluid machinery, in which two stationary scrolls (2A, 2B) are fixed onto a housing (1), and form volume changing mechanisms (50A, 50B) with matching orbiting scrolls (3A, 3B). Three orbiting units (40) are located between the two volume changing mechanisms. Each orbiting unit comprises a rotating member (10) and a thrust-cancelling shaft (20). Assembly sets of the thrust-canceling shaft consist of turning elements and a connector, which in turn connects with orbiting scrolls through threads. Rotating turning element will rotate the connector, and thus move the two orbiting scrolls closer or farther through the threads on the connector. Abstract: A self-sealing mechanism for a scroll compressor is disposed inside a frame of the scroll compressor at a position between a back-pressure chamber and a fixed scroll, including an accommodating space; a groove communicating the space with the chamber; a one-way valve disposed at one end of the space adjacent to the groove to maintain communication between the space and the groove in a normally closed state; and a suction port penetrating from the space to an entrance of the fixed scroll. When the pressure of the chamber is increased in an instant, the valve is opened in real time for allowing the lubricating oil inside the chamber to flow into the space, thereby regulating the pressure of the chamber. Moreover, the lubricating oil in the space can be sucked under the suction force from the fixed scroll and fill in positions between the fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll.

Abstract: A scroll compressor may include a blocking portion provided in a fixed component thereof, and positioned adjacent to a discharge hole formed in an orbiting scroll of the compressor. The blocking portion may temporarily obscure the discharge hole upon initiation of a discharging operation, thereby preventing refrigerant discharged into a discharging space from flowing back into a compression chamber, without the use of a separate check valve. Such a blocking portion may prevent an increase in overall compressor noise due to noise typically generated by a check valve. Such a blocking portion may also prevent degradation in compressor reliability levels due to valve damage and increases in fabricating costs due to the addition of the valve.
