Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may prevent an oil-feeding hole from being blocked due to a high pressure refrigerant, which is compressed in compression chambers and introduced into the oil-feeding hole through an oil-feeding slit, by blocking one of both end portions of the oil-feeding slit, adjacent to the compression chambers, when the oil-feeding hole is formed through an outer circumferential surface of a bearing and the oil-feeding slit, which communicates with the oil-feeding hole, is formed on the outer circumferential surface. This may allow for smooth oil supply onto the outer circumferential surface of the bearing through the oil-feeding hole, thereby enhancing a bearing performance. Also, the oil-feeding hole or slit may be formed at a closest position to an oil feeding-required section, not within the section. By the structure, reduction in oil churn, and reduction in input of the compressor are realized, and the compressor with less power consumption is obtained.

Abstract: An oil lubrication system for a multi-stage compressor separates oil from a refrigerant at an intermediate pressure following the first stage of compression and then routes the separated oil at the intermediate pressure to the compressor suction cavity bearings at the intermediate pressure, thus avoiding further compression of oil in subsequent stages of compression. The efficiency of the multi-stage compressor can be increased by not raising the pressure of the oil through the subsequent stages of compression.

Abstract: A compressor is provided having an accumulator that forms an accumulating chamber in an internal space of a shell of the compressor, reducing a size of the compressor and simplifying an assembly process. A stationary shaft having a refrigerant suction passage may be directly connected to the accumulator to prevent leakage of refrigerant. Further, a center of gravity of the accumulator may correspond to a center of gravity of the compressor to reduce vibration noise of the compressor caused by the accumulator. Furthermore, both ends of the stationary shaft may be supported by a frame to reduce compressor vibration without using a separate bearing. An installation area of the compressor including the accumulator may be minimized to enhance design flexibility of an outdoor device employing the compressor and minimize interference with other components, thereby facilitating installation of the outdoor device.

Abstract: The inside of a sealed container (50) of a horizontal scroll compressor is partitioned by a partition plate (80) into a space in which a compressor mechanism section and an electric motor are contained and into a discharge space (84) in which a discharge pipe (52) and an oil supply pump (70) are contained. An upper communication path (85) and a path guide member (81) are provided in the upper part of the partition plate, and a refrigerant gas passes through the upper communication path (85). The path guide member is located below the discharge pipe (52), is extended to a position near a side surface of the sealed container, and has a path area greater than the path area of the discharge pipe. The construction causes the refrigerant gas to collide with the side surface of the sealed container, promoting separation of oil, and even if the oil is re-dispersed by a gas flow, the construction reduces flow directly leading to the discharge pipe.
