  • Patent number: 10072903
Abstract: The present invention is an ammunition magazine, preferably made of a reinforced polymer, utilizing a structurally enhancing ridge, angular guide rails and a follower made to interface with said guide rails to reduce wobble. The preferred embodiment also features a protective cover that distributes forces from the spring to more structurally sound areas of the magazine, thus reducing feed end splay, and an ammunition indication system comprised of at least one window and a noticeable marker on the follower spring. The follower and magazine casing are also designed to interface to prevent the follower from popping out of the feed end and the floor plate of the magazine utilizes a locking plate and sliding relationship between the floor plate, locking plate and magazine to secure the floor plate onto the magazine casing. The cover features built in tools for, among other things, unloading and disassembling the magazine.

  • Patent number: 10048030
Abstract: A floor plate assembly for a firearm magazine for use in automatic and semi-automatic pistols and rifles is designed to occupy a minimal amount of space inside the magazine so that more magazine volume is available for bullets in a minimal magazine size. The magazine floor plate assembly includes a floor plate and a lock plate. The floor plate includes opposing lock plate guides that secure to the base flanges of a magazine housing. The lock plate acts as a spring for snap assembly and is inserted underneath the back edge of the magazine housing over the bottom inside surface of the floor plate, so that the lock plate covers the open magazine back side, while keeping the floor plate tight and without movement.

  • Patent number: 10030923
Abstract: Aspects of a magazine for use with a repeating firearm are described. One unique aspect is that the magazine is fabricated completely from a translucent polymer, particularly a polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) and, preferably, an unreinforced PPSU that is highly resistant to mechanical, chemical, and thermal failures commonly affecting magazines. Another aspect of the magazine is the inclusion of a coupling system fully integrated into the housing that allows magazines to be securely joined together without the use of tools or additional components. A further aspect of the magazine is the easy release button design allowing the magazine to be disassembled by large or gloved fingers without need for a tool to depress the release button.

  • Patent number: 9945628
Abstract: A follower for a firearm magazine and a method are disclosed. The follower platform is shaped to support a cartridge and has a top surface, a bottom surface opposing the top surface. The top surface defines at least one plane. A normal of the bottom surface defines a vertical axis of the follower. The front end has an interior surface and an exterior surface for engaging a magazine body. The rear end has an interior surface and an exterior surface for engaging the magazine body. A spacer is positioned on the platform. The bottom surface, the front end, and the rear end define a spring receiving space. The spring receiving space is shaped to limit an upper portion of the spring to vertical compression when the upper portion of the spring is compressed into the spring receiving space.
