Pistol Swords Patents (Class 42/53)
  • Patent number: 11221193
Abstract: A firearm accessory is operable in two modes. A first mode in which the firearm accessory is coupled, at least indirectly, to a firearm to define a foregrip. In the first mode, a blade on the accessory is in a sheathed position. A second mode in which the firearm is disconnected from the firearm to define a knife. In the second mode, the blade is in an extended position. In each mode and position, the tip of the blade is vertically above the upper end of the grip body. The firearm accessory has prongs that connect the grip body to an attachment mechanism or coupler. Within the coupler are flexible liner locks that have sloped protrusions that engage recess in the blade to lock the blade in the extend position. The liner locks may be flexibly unlocked by depressing a button carried by the grip body.

  • Patent number: 10801808
Abstract: A tool. A firearm, a blade and an ancillary device are disposed within or on the tool. The firearm comprises a barrel through which a bullet passes to exit the firearm, a firing pin moveable to a firing position by operation of a firing pin control, a firing pin lock retaining the firing pin in the firing position when in the locked position, a biasing member for applying a force to the firing pin with the firing pin restrained against the force by the locked position of the firing pin lock. A trigger releases the firing pin lock from the locked position, such that the force causes the firing pin to strike the charge proximate the bullet. The bullet then exits the barrel.

  • Patent number: 9234722
Abstract: A device is convertible between a knife and a fore grip of a firearm. The device has a grip body operatively connected to a blade, and an attachment member connecting the grip body to a longitudinally extending rail of a firearm. The blade converts between an extended position when the device is disconnected from the firearm to a stored position when the device is connected the rail. The blade remains oriented along the longitudinal axis of the grip body when it is in both the stored position and the extended position. The grip body remains operatively connected to the blade when the device is disconnected from the firearm and the blade is in the extended position.

  • Patent number: 9228797
Abstract: A handgrip for a firearm is disclosed. The handgrip features a tool, in particular a melee component, stowed within a portion of the handgrip, the remaining portion of the melee component forming a finger guard. A latch is provided to hold the melee component in the stowed position. The interface of the melee component with the handgrip component may be either a rotatable interface, utilizing a lower pivot point and a latch such that the melee component may be rotated out of the handgrip or may be a sliding interface, with the melee component sliding within a provided trench. Two latching mechanisms for a rotating interface are disclosed. Other tools, such as bipods and flashlights, may be adapted to also fit the provided trench.

  • Patent number: 9062930
Abstract: A combined flashlight and munition deploying device in which light sources are arranged around a munition-loadable crown of the device so that illumination is emitted in the same direction that the munition is deployed. The flashlight may be operated in a strobe mode. A common trigger is used to first operate the strobe and then to fire the munition. A toggle mechanism serves to cock the firing pin as the crown is being opened for loading a cartridge. An extendable battery compartment may be included, which also serves as an extendable handle. The device may be configured for many different types of less-than-lethal munitions.

  • Patent number: 6209250
Abstract: A convertible sidearm is provided which can convert easily between a firearm and a knife. The convertible sidearm includes a tubular body frame. A back plate member assembly is removably affixed to the tubular body at one end. The back plate assembly includes a plate member and a substantially tubular support member emanating outwardly from a planar surface of the plate member. A standard bolt or bolt carrier assembly from a primary firearm, having a bolt and a firing pin connected thereto, is inserted into the tubular support member of the back plate member assembly. A spring-loaded striker is positioned proximal to a firing pin within the bolt carrier assembly. A trigger communicates with the spring-loaded striker to release the striker toward the firing pin to fire the weapon.
