Barrel Catches Patents (Class 42/64)
  • Patent number: 7939031
Abstract: A pipette nozzle is provided for use on a movable arm on an automated pipette machine. The pipette nozzle includes a body defining a passage therethrough. At least two seating surfaces are provided on the body, including a first seating surface and a second seating surface. The first seating surface is configured to receive and sealingly mate with a first size of pipette tip in a manner such that the first end of the passage is in fluid communication with the first size of pipette tip. The second seating surface is configured to receive and sealingly mate with a second size of pipette tip in a manner such that the first end of the passage is in fluid communication with the second size of pipette tip. The seating surfaces are frustoconical outer surfaces. The pipette nozzle may be further configured to sealingly mate with and removably receive a third pipette tip having a third diameter different from the first diameter and the second diameter.

  • Patent number: 7263795
Abstract: An extractor for the removal of cartridges from the cylinder bores of a revolver. The extractor includes an extractor plate having a plurality of arms extending radially outward from an inner portion of the plate. The arms form an inner surface between adjacent arms. The inner surface substantially conforms to the profile of a bore of the cylinder and has an arc length that is greater than one-half the circumference of a cartridge disposed within the cylinder bores of the revolver. The inner surface contacts the rim of a cartridge and facilitates the removal of the cartridge from the bore. The inner surface may also include a beveled edge and the arms may have convex or concave end portions. The extractor also includes a tubular stem mounted to the inner portion of the extractor plate.

  • Patent number: 6655065
Abstract: A barrel catch mechanism particularly suited to small hinged barrel handguns. A transversely slidable locking piece engages a barrel lug. The locking piece has a stud which engages an aperture in the lug. Locking and unlocking is controlled by a spring loaded actuator extending through the frame.

  • Patent number: 5092068
Abstract: A gas seal revolver which includes a barrel having a longitudinal bore therethrough, a rotatably mounted cylinder positioned adjacent to the barrel and having a plurality of chambers therein, and a sealing and aligning structure oriented between the barrel and the cylinder to thereby form a leak resistant gas seal when the barrel is moved against the end face of the cylinder. The barrel and cylinder assembly are movable mounted to the frame such that the revolver may be tipped open for easy loading and cleaning of the operative parts contained therein. The revolver also includes an indexing mechanism which cooperates with notches along the outer periphery of the cylinder in order to incrementally move the cylinder so that the chambers are moved into and out of preliminary alignment with the barrel bore. The barrel is also prevented from being opened during any phase of trigger motion thereby ensuring that the operator will not open the barrel during the firing cycle.

  • Patent number: 4694602
Abstract: A simplified revolver handgun comprises an interacting trigger and hammer mechanism which in their normal movements cause a transfer rod to move linearly inside the extractor assembly of the cylinder, the transfer rod having on its outside surface a network of grooves which mate with an inwardly directed protrusion in the bore of the extractor assembly, the network being a repeating series of cam action sections, each section including a location for firing when said hammer and a cartridge are aligned, and a location when the hammer rests in close proximity to the cylinder but between adjacent cartridges in a nonfiring position.

  • Patent number: 4539771
Abstract: An improved break-top handgun of the revolver type is disclosed which incorporates an improved latching mechanism for securely linking the barrel section and frame together and which compensates for any wear occurring on the engaged surfaces. Also disclosed is an improved linkage connected to the trigger for freeing the ammunition-holding cylinder for rotation and means for retaining the cylinder in engagement with the barrel when the barrel section is separated from the frame for cleaning, loading and/or unloading ammunition.
