  • Patent number: 8291633
Abstract: A bipod for a light-weight machine gun is disclosed. The bipod has tubular telescoping legs with large ground-engaging feet that may be extended and retracted to discreet locking positions. The bipod has a spring-based system that allows a user to pivot the bipod legs about cylinder-in-a-cylinder pivot pins, either towards or away from the barrel muzzle with one hand, thus giving 180 degrees of travel. The bipod is attachable to a machine gun with a round yoke using a stepped screw and compression spring that assures yoke remains tightly secured to body, but rotatable for traversing, during extended use.

  • Patent number: 8276304
Abstract: A modular fore-end rail assembly for mounting onto a firearm includes an upper hand guard, a lower hand guard and a clamping member that combines with the rear portion of the upper hand guard to encircle and clamp onto the barrel nut thereby supporting the entire assembly from the front of the upper receiver and preventing any transfer of load into the barrel. The lower portion of the hand guard is slidably received into channels formed in the upper hand guard and is retained in its installed position by a spring biased detent located in the clamping member. The lower hand guard is removable by simply depressing the detent and sliding the lower hand guard forward. By providing for the easy removal of the lower hand guard, other auxiliary devices may be mounted to the upper hand guard.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods of canting firearms such as rifles relative to fore grip having extendable and expanded legs. One version allows for a rocking and canting of the firearm by pivotally attaching an upper portion of the expanded legs. Another version allows for a separate canting member to be clamped to both the upper portion of a vertical fore grip and to the lower mounting rail of the firearm. The canting member has portions that cant (move to the left or to the right) relative to one another. An operator can cant the firearm in a free-state or to fixed positions as desired.

  • Patent number: 8215046
Abstract: A mounting arrangement for use with a shotgun or rifle to selectively position accessories along the barrel of the rifle. The mounting arrangement includes a forend and a series of mounting rails that receive the desired accessories. The forend includes a series of locator rails equally positioned around the outer circumference and spaced from each other at approximately 45°. The spacing of the locator rails allows a user to selectively attach an accessory in a larger number of desired locations around the outer circumference of the forend. Each of the mounting rails and locator rails engage each other in a dovetail configuration to prevent the radial separation of the mounting rail from the locator rail.
