    Abstract: A method of diagnosing deterioration of an exhaust emission control catalyst is provided. The catalyst includes an HC (hydrocarbon) adsorbing part and an oxidation catalyst part. The method includes estimating that an HC discharge amount discharged from the HC adsorbing part is larger than a first value, detecting a parameter relating to a reaction heat of the exhaust emission control catalyst, and diagnosing that the exhaust emission control catalyst is deteriorated when the detected parameter indicates a temperature value lower than a predetermined threshold. The deterioration diagnosis is performed under a first condition that the HC discharge amount is estimated to be larger than the first value.

The suction pipe has a suction opening and a hole extending through a wall of the suction pipe. The cover is disposed on an outside of the suction pipe and covers the hole. When there is an under-pressure in the suction pipe compared to the urea tank, the cover abuts the suction pipe and seals the hole. When there is an overpressure in the suction pipe compared to the urea tank, the cover deforms and allows an excess urea solution to escape through the hole and flow back into the urea tank.

The gauging rod assembly can be pulled out of the tank until it magnetically couples with a magnetic float that surrounds the sensor tube. The float moves in response to a change in liquid level and the magnetic coupling provides the user with a visual indication of the liquid level. A sensor board extends along a length of the gauging rod assembly and is responsive to movement of the float for electronically determining the liquid level without the need to magnetically couple the gauging rod assembly to the float.

    Abstract: Change in the amount of an absorbing liquid is detected to restore the original amount, and carbon dioxide is stably recovered from exhaust gas. A liquid level meter detects the liquid level changing with quantity fluctuations of the absorbing liquid. If the liquid level is lowered, a restoration system restores the original liquid level, using the condensed water. The condensed water sufficient for restoring the liquid level is supplied near the liquid level meter.
