By Means Striping Or Applying A Definite Pattern Patents (Class 425/105)
  • Patent number: 8415000
Abstract: Stabilized precursor solutions can be used to form radiation inorganic coating materials. The precursor solutions generally comprise metal suboxide cations, peroxide-based ligands and polyatomic anions. Design of the precursor solutions can be performed to achieve a high level of stability of the precursor solutions. The resulting coating materials can be designed for patterning with a selected radiation, such as ultraviolet light, x-ray radiation or electron beam radiation. The radiation patterned coating material can have a high contrast with respect to material properties, such that development of a latent image can be successful to form lines with very low line-width roughness and adjacent structures with a very small pitch.

  • Patent number: 5376414
Abstract: Extrusion apparatus and method includes a chamber of alterable volume having an outlet and a vent in a movable wall of the chamber to facilitate sealing the chamber upon application of force to the movable wall to displace viscous, fluid composition from within the chamber through the outlet and along a desired path. After displacement of a volume of the composition from the chamber, the vent is relieved to promote expansion of the composition within the chamber through the vent rather than through the outlet. The composition may be cured to substantially non-fluid condition along the desired path in response to applied thermal and/or ultraviolet radiant energy to provide traces of selected electrical properties on a work surface.

  • Patent number: 4906170
Abstract: An apparatus is presented for printing material on an extruded plastic tubing. An extruder forms the plastic tubing of the desired diameter and thickness. The tubing is then drawn through a cooling bath by a pulling mechanism, and cut into desired lengths. The tubing may be dried after the cooling process, and an ink jet printer is utilized to print on the tubing as it is being drawn to be cut. A computer controls the printing process in correlation with the tubing cutter to provide a print signal to the printer in accordance with the desired lengths of tubing. The print heads of the printer are also three-dimensionally adjustable so as to center the printed material on the desired size and length of tubing to be cut.

  • Patent number: 4392897
Abstract: Molten thermoplastic, such as polyethylene, and a hot melt adhesive are coextruded through a channel shaped profile die. While still molten, the channel shaped strip, having adhesive between the ribs thereof, is brought into contact with a moving web of a thermoplastic, e.g. polyethylene film, which is backed up by a roll at a controlled temperature. The temperature differential between the roll and the molten thermoplastic is maintained so that the thermoplastic adheres to the moving web upon contact and thereafter cools to set the thermoplastic in the channel shaped profile. The web is under tension so that contraction of the film upon release compensates for the contraction of the channel shaped strip as it cools.
