Abstract: A machine for treating or processing a conveyable material, particularly a free-flowing or pasty material or a bulk material comprises at least one passage section having at least one passage through which the conveyable material, which is to be treated or processed, can be conveyed along a direction of conveyance. The at least one passage section forms at least one partial area of a channel of the machine and is mounted so that it can move in relation to this channel. This at least one passage section is coupled to at least one source, which is provided for effecting oscillations and by means of which the passage section can be set in mechanical oscillatory motion with regard to the channel of the machine.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for compressing concrete during the manufacture of concrete parts. Said device comprises a supporting structure, a formwork device which is maintained by the supporting structure and a vibration decoupling device which is arranged between the supporting structure and formwork device. The vibrations required to compress concrete are produced by a vibration device acting directly upon the formwork device. In order to reduce noise emission, the mass of the supporting structure is selected in such a way that the intrinsic frequency of a system consisting of the supporting structure and vibration decoupling device is lower than the excitation frequency of the vibration device. Preferably, the formwork device, vibration decoupling device, vibrators and all electrical feed lines and connections are premounted, forming a module which can then be mounted on the supporting structure.
Abstract: Compressed preform products formed from continuous fibers substantially evenly coated with a thermoplastic sizing composition are provided. Preferably, the continuous fibers are glass fibers. Applying a thermoplastic sizing composition to continuous fibers during the formation of the fibers enables a preform to be formed without applying any additional sizing or binder compositions at later stages of the manufacturing of the preform. The thermoplastic sizing composition includes a thermoplastic material, and, optionally a silane coupling agent. The thermoplastic material in the thermoplastic sizing composition includes chemicals and/or compounds that are thermoplastic or possess thermoplastic properties. One or more preforms may be randomly inserted to a muffler cavity. Upon the application of heat, the preforms decompress and fill the cavity with fibrous material.
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to produce concrete moulded blocks, using a mould which is subjected to a vibrating process. Said mould comprises a frame (FR) and a moulding insert (FE) which is maintained therein. A device comprising receiving elements arranged in said moulding insert (FE) for receiving a displacement sensor (SE) is provided, in addition to an arrangement comprising said device and at least one sensor. The invention discloses advantageous embodiments and arrangements of said receiving elements. The arrangement of the sensor (SE) on the moulding insert (FE) is particularly advantageous and provides an additional displacement variable for relative displacement between the moulding insert and the frame by combining the displacement variables of a sensor (SE) on the moulding insert (FE) and a sensor (SE) on the frame (FR).
Abstract: A concrete product molding machine supports a mold with a vertically extending mold cavity. A pallet support is mounted for lifting movement to dispose a pallet to close the cavity. Attachment structure extends from the mold to rest on frame surfaces prior to being moved upwardly to provide a clearance for vertical vibration of the mold. Mechanism vibrates the mold in a vertical path having lateral x and y axis vibration components. A guidance pin receiver is carried by the support attachment structure and a pin carrier assembly on the machine frame carries a vertically reciprocal guidance pin movable from a remote position up into the pin receiver. A vibration limiter is disposed laterally to the pin for limiting at least one of the lateral vibration components and a motor operated mechanism is coupled to the pin for moving the pin vertically.
Abstract: A device for receiving formwork elements used to manufacture concrete elements has a bearing static structure and a flat formwork joined therewith which can be driven to vibrate by an exciting device in order to compact the still-plastic concrete. The sound-insulating joining devices are inserted between the formwork shell and the static structure. The exciting device bypasses the joining device and acts directly or indirectly on the formwork shell.

Abstract: A rotary press, especially for preparing tablets, with a frame, a rotor with drive, at least one pressure roller unit, and a housing. To improve the absorption of the forces introduced into the pressure roller unit, of which there is at least one, and to design the rotary press as a low-vibration and low-noise press, a massive base plate (1) accommodating the rotor (2) with the drive and the pressure roller unit (3) is supported by the base frame (6) by elastic mounts (7). The rigidity of the elastic mounts (7) and the mass of the assembly unit formed by the rotor (2) with the drive and the pressure roller unit (3), of which there is at least one, are coordinated with one another such that the natural frequency of this vibration system in all six possible degrees of freedom is substantially lower than the lowest punch engagement frequency occurring at the lowest speed of rotation, which is the excitation frequency.
Abstract: A device for removing runners from intermediate molded products includes a holding assembly for maintaining the products in a desired position, a hammer member, an assembly for vibrating the hammer member to cause repeated striking of the intermediate product so as to separate runner and product portions thereof and a control arrangement for selectively activating and deactivating the vibrating assembly. The control arrangement provides for positioning the vibrating assembly in at least one predetermined position upon deactivation thereof so as to enable the vibrating assembly to be readily restarted. The holding assembly can incorporate a robot arm for transporting and positioning the intermediate molded product for runner removal. In order to protect the robot arm from the effects of vibrational forces, the intermediate molded product is adapted to be resiliently attached to the robot arm.
Abstract: At a blow-molding machine for fabricating hollow blow-molded articles from a thermoplastic material a hollow blow mold is moved back and forth with a swinging or pendulum movement upon a transport device containing a mold-supporting platform between a receiving station for the hose-like thermoplastic material to be blow molded and a blow molding station. The platform carries article receiving and transfer means which move in unison therewith and serve to receive the hollow blow-molded bodies or articles formed at the blow-molding station and for delivering the same to an article outfeed or delivery station.
Abstract: Machinery and methods for making concrete blocks includes an open top and open bottom mold supported on a machine's frame when the mold is at rest. A pallet support beneath the mold is movable upwardly by means of a pallet lifter frame to clamp a pallet against the bottom of the mold. Upward movement of the pallet support is accompanied by upward movement of the mold off the frame to enable vibration of the mold without the generation of noise between the mold and the frame. A stripper head is supported above the mold for entry into the latter during vibration of the mold to assist in compacting moldable material within the mold. The stripper head is carried by a movable frame the movements of which are controlled by a cam and an interconnecting linkage, and the stripper head is vertically movable relative to the frame. Inflatable/deflatable cushions or absorbers are interposed between the stripper head and the stripper head frame to minimize noise.

First (73) and second (83) mold halves are located on opposite sides of the core member (100) and each is adapted to move inwardly and outwardly between open and closed positions. The mold halves (73) and (83) are rotatably supported on bearing means (75) and (85) and in closed position are adapted to rotate with the core member (100) and define a cavity (128) in combination therewith. The improvement takes the form of the addition of mold isolator means (130) and (132) between the bearing means (75) and (85) and the mold halves (73) and ( 83).
Abstract: Fluent material such as mixed concrete to be molded into blocks is contained with a supply hopper for discharge of a predetermined quantity of such material to a mold. The hopper has a discharge opening at one side thereof, rather than at its bottom, so that material discharged from the hopper exits along a substantially horizontal path for reception in a mold supported adjacent the discharge opening. A partition is movable through material in the hopper to divide the contents thereof into upper and lower portions, the upper portion of which is supported on the partition and the lower portion of which is pushed through the hopper's discharge opening by a pusher blade carried by the partition.
Abstract: Apparatus for forming prestressed concrete beams comprising groups of molds, each group forming a module, with the modules arranged consecutively and tracks are placed alongside the modules. Plates seal off the ends of each mold and the beams are lifted off the molds by the plates after the prestressing wires have been cut.
Abstract: A concrete block molding machine has the pallet support table mounted on the main frame of the machine through pneumatic tires which provide vibration isolation between the pallet support table and the main machine frame. A mold, having vibrating mechanism mounted on it is lowered into position on pallets supported by the pallet support table, and the mold and pallet support table are clamped together on opposite sides of a pallet during the molding operation. A plunger head is carried on the main machine frame through additional air bag vibration isolators to engage materials in the mold to compact them during the molding operation while the vibrators are operating. Upon completion of the molding operation, the table and mold are unclamped to permit a stripping plate to move the mold upwardly off of the pallet; so that the pallet and the green concrete blocks may be moved out of the machine and a new pallet may be positioned for the next cycle of operation.

Abstract: Apparatus for suppressing noise generated by a concrete or the like block making machine having a vibratable open bottom mold against the bottom of which the pallet is clamped to close the mold and provide a support for the molded block. The pallet support and the mold are sandwiched between yieldable, compressible, opposed force applying members which clamp the pallet to the mold and maintain the mold in a state of suspension during its vibration. The clamping of the pallet to the mold and the suspension of the mold greatly minimize noise generated by vibration of the mold.
Abstract: A muffler is provided for use in conjunction with a jet for treating a running length of yarn. Audible noise which is emitted by the jet is reduced by at least 11.5 .DELTA.dB(A) through the use of a housing to substantially enclose the jet. The housing has openings for the entrance and exit of a yarn and is at least partially lined with sound absorbing material; sound absorbing material also closes the openings in the housing. The travelling yarn abrades through the sound absorbing material at the openings to form an operational passage to and from the jet.

Abstract: A protective hood for a tablet compressing machine includes a heavy cover plate 12 resiliently supported on the top of the machine frame 11, vertical support members 14, hinged windows 16 secured to the support members by locks 21, and acoustical absorption plates 15 above and below the windows. Environmental integrity is implemented by channel members 17 around the edges of the support members and provided with chambers 18 kept at a positive pressure through inlets 19. The chambers are closed by rubber seals 20 around the edges of the windows 16.

Abstract: A jarring moulding machine having a table and impact receiving arrangement between the table and an anvil, which arrangement includes an annular impact member recessed into a surface of the anvil, and an impact insert of greater resilience than the impact member seated in an annular recess of step form at the inner periphery of the annular impact member. The top surface of the impact member projects slightly beyond of the anvil surface and the top surface of the impact insert projects slightly beyond of the top surface of the surrounding impact member so that the insert receives the impact before the impact member. The seating recess for the insert is undercut at the junction of its walls so as to leave a small clearance therebetween. The impact member may be of a polyethylene synthetic plastics material and the insert may be of rubbery polyurethane.
Abstract: Apparatus for supporting, transporting and rotating mold forms for producing concrete reinforced ties wherein a gantry includes a pair of rotatable clamping devices on opposite ends thereof whereby the mold forms may be held in a position to be filled with concrete, moved to a mold dismantling position while being rotated through an angle of 180.degree. with the concrete ties being subsequently removed from the mold forms. The rotatable clamping devices include vise means for supporting the mold forms and clamping means for holding the mold forms in their assembled condition during rotation thereof through 180.degree. while permitting dismantling of the molds after they are brought into their inverted position. The gantry device is movable over a production and dismantling area and means are provided for stacking the finished concrete ties.
Abstract: Apparatus for forming concrete building blocks which is constructed and arranged (1) to minimize sound emissions to the environment of a magnitude which might cause injury to the hearing of the operators, (2) to provide shielding around the major movable components of the machine so as to substantially eliminate potential causes of bodily injury to the operators, and (3) to improve the performance and cooperation of the major components for making concrete blocks. To provide shielding against noise and bodily injury, the frame of the apparatus is constructed in conjunction with sound insulation panels to provide an enclosure around the major movable components of the apparatus, and the frame also supports these components on internal surfaces thereof so as to minimize sound transmission openings to the environment.
