    Abstract: A method for demolding concrete blocks which are cast in a resilient mold supported in a rigid frame, the mold having a top surface and at least one cavity with an opening on the top surface, which cavity holds a cured cast concrete block. The mold has two opposing edges. The demolded blocks are stacked on a collection surface. A support is positioned over the cavity and the mold, the support and the frame are inverted and positioned in demolding apparatus. After two opposing edges of the mold are engaged by the demolding apparatus, the support is withdrawn to allow the mold to sag. The blocks may release from the mold and fall onto the collection surface. If any blocks remain in the mold, a plunger mechanism is pushed against the sagging mold to release the blocks. Guide members may facilitate positioning the blocks on the collection surface.

One of the half-moulds can be removed upstream to the thermal conditioning station, resulting in an additional reduction in energy absorption since needless subjecting of the half-mould to the thermal cycle to which the products are subjected is avoided.

In an alternative embodiment, the middle part can be fitted with insulation to maintain a higher temperature between different regions of the mold assembly, making it possible to mold together considerably different materials such as a thermo plastic material and an elastomer, a silicone, or metal and plastic.

In the manufacture of the lollipop, a plurality of book molds are positioned in a line and linked together for simultaneous opening and closing. A plurality of nozzles inject hot syrup into the molds. When the syrup has cooled and the sticks have been anchored therein, the molds are inverted and opened to allow the lollipops to drop out. The manufacture operation is automated and synchronized for maximum efficiency.

As the mold is opened, a pinion is rotatively driven by a rack which is moved downward in association with the mold opening operation. In this manner, a rotatable block is revolved and pivotally moved along with the movable mold to a position so that the movable mold and the molded article are pointed outwardly. Ejection pins may then be used to eject the molded article off the mold.

    Abstract: Apparatus for producing cast products which include a filling unit wherein elastic moulds of open-bag shape are filled with non-solid materials, a solidifying unit wherein the materials are allowed to solidify in the elastic moulds, and a withdrawal unit wherein the solidified materials are withdrawn from the inside of the elastic moulds in the filling unit, the elastic mould is positioned under a vacuum when filling starts. The apparatus provides cast products without mould joint marks, low mould production costs and prevention of mould breakage as well as a great degree of production simplification.

A drive system is provided for rotatably driving the turret about the axis. The clamps are mounted on a horizontal frame which is pivoted through a 180.degree. vertical arc to invert the clamped container so that the heretofore open top becomes an open bottom. The conveyor and suction cups are raised to a position closely adjacent the open bottom of the container by pressure actuated cylinders and the suction cups engage the block of cheese.

The process of moving the table to a vertical condition is accompanied by a lateral movement such that the latest element is stacked at the head of a line of previously cast elements. The elements are allowed to stand undisturbed until hardening is complete. Casting is done in a movable shed which shelters the partially hardened elements from the weather. Ribbed elements may be cast using a further mold element raised and lowered from the ceiling of the shed.

    Abstract: An outfit for manufacturing concrete units includes one frame, which can move along a rail-track, and two detachable forms-tilters on it. The length of the unit made in the forms can be varied. Each form has also detachable equipment (edges, dies, and dividing bars). Before stripping the units, the side edges of the form are thrown aside and the bottom edge is taken away. A detachable hinged clip which is fixed on the bottom side is moved into a working position. Then the form is turned over 90.degree., and the outfit moves to a rack. The top edge is thrown back, the clip is released, and the unit falls down on cushions. The outfit operates in the same manner on the other side of the rail-track. It is possible to manufacture in one form two or more units at the same time with corresponding increase in quantity of clips on the bottom side of the form.
