When the stopping portion contacts a pit surface provided on the surface of the plate, the body of the spring plunger does not proceed any more in the female screw in the plate. Thus, the pin projection height from the surface of the plate is kept constant. According to the present invention, the pin projection height from a surface of an object body such as a mold surface can be controlled easily and precisely.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2002Publication date: January 9, 2003Inventor: Koichiro Takai

Patent number: 6497568Abstract: Systems and methods for producing chocolate shells by immersing a core into a liquid filled mold cavity. The temperature of the core member is controlled. A mold cavity closure with shell rim molding surfaces extends peripherally around the core member and, together with outer surfaces of the core and inner surfaces of the mold cavity, the molding surfaces determine the full geometry of the chocolate shell. The cavity closure is axially movable in relation to the core member and has unobstructed travel in relation to the core member, when the mold cavity closure is engaged with the mold. The device includes a load for pressing the core member in direction against the mold cavity to achieve pressure build up in the mass.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1999Date of Patent: December 24, 2002Assignee: Aasted-Mikroverk APSInventor: Lars Aasted

Patent number: 6464199Abstract: A mold which is easy to fabricate and which is durable and self cleaning. The mold is especially suited for creating fine or modest roughened surfaces on concrete masonry units. These moderately roughened surfaces are suitable for use as the decorative face(s) on concrete products such as bricks and blocks. The desired result of producing a modest or fine roughened surface on a masonry unit can be performed in a mold without using protruding lips or wall projections or grates, although such features could be used to supplement the action described herein. According to the present invention, one or more shallow channels or grooves are cut or otherwise formed in the face of the mold wall or walls or other generally vertical surface(s) within the mold from which it is desired to produce a roughened surface on a masonry unit.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2000Date of Patent: October 15, 2002Assignee: Anchor Wall Systems, Inc.Inventor: Jay Jeffrey Johnson

Patent number: 6464921Abstract: A method for manufacturing a multilayer tube shoulder wherein a first material component is injected into a cavity (22) and then removed from the cavity on a support (12) while in a partly-plastic state. Thereafter, following insertion of the first material component into a second cavity (23), a second material component is injected around the first material component, and thereby leads to a positive connection between the first and second material components.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2000Date of Patent: October 15, 2002Assignee: Foboha GmbHInventor: Rainer Armbruster

Publication number: 20020106420Abstract: An internal latch for an injection mold that allows opening of the mold at parting lines while selected plates are locked in position and prevented from moving. The system includes an external bushing, an internal bushing that carries cam retainers, and a locking pin. The system may be used in an injection mold having in sequence a stationary plate, a stripper plate and a support plate. The external bushing is secured to the support plate, the internal bushing is secured to the stripper plate, and the locking pin is secured to the stationary plate. The cam retainers selectively engage grooves in the external bushing to lock the stripper plate from moving with respect to the support plate when the locking pin is inserted into the internal bushing beyond the location of the cam retainers. When the locking pin is extracted from the internal bushing, the cam retainers are free to move inwardly thus unlocking the stripper plate from the support plate.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2001Publication date: August 8, 2002Inventor: Leo A.
