  • Patent number: 8939753
Abstract: The high straightness arrow in the present invention is designed to improve the straightness of the archery arrow by adopting new manufacturing technique and method. Chamber and post are made of dissimilar metals and the chamber includes a wall that creates an external housing and defines an internal airspace. Once the post with shaft is positioned through chamber, nuts are tightened securely, forming an assembly, to straighten post. Due to the different coefficients of thermal expansion of chamber and post, when they are heated simultaneously, the chamber expands more than the post, creating a natural tension along post which results in a near perfectly straight shaft. As the assembly cools, the post and chamber return to their original length, yet the shaft retains its straightened form and thus this manufacturing process yields an arrow shaft that is straighter than shafts made of the same materials but with a traditional manufacturing technique.

The resulting container thus has an RFID tag fused thereto to allow for tracking and tracing of the container after manufacture, as well as providing a mechanism by which the authenticity of the bottle can be verified.

Abstract: A method of fabricating a double-walled shell of fiber reinforced plastic material is by centrifuging. The outer wall of the shell is made by projecting glass fibers and resin in a liquid phase against an inside face of a cylindrical mold rotating about its horizontal axis. A section member is then applied against the inside face of the outer wall by a plurality of turns having a diameter substantially equal to the inside diameter of the outer wall and separated from one another by a distance substantially equal to the thickness of the outer wall. The section member has a channel section with a web and two flanges extending radially outward, defining a sealed helical duct. The space between the turns is filled with resin by centrifuging, forming a helical spacer, and the inner wall is formed by centrifuging.

The substrate includes a plastic layer and the apparatus includes an anvil, a needle and a swaging tool movable relatively to the anvil. The method includes the steps of penetrating the substrate with the needle to create an opening, positioning the filamentary member in the opening, and compressing the substrate between the swaging tool and the anvil so as to deform the plastic layer and swage the filamentary member to the substrate. The needle is heated to melt the plastic layer so that it fuses with the filamentary member upon swaging. Motion of the needle and swaging tool is controlled by cams under the command of a microprocessor control unit. A substrate to which filamentary members are swaged is also disclosed.

Abstract: A retainer installation through hole is formed in a connector housing by an installation hole forming pin. After molding the connector housing and a retainer, the retainer is assembled from a side opposite the side where the installation hole forming pin is extracted for the retainer installation hole. Thus, since interference of the retainer installation hole with the retainer is avoided, a mold construction can be simplified. Further, since the direction of motion of the respective parts of a mold apparatus are only in biaxial directions of up and down and transverse (X,Y axis directions), the molding spaces of a plurality of connectors can be provided in the mold apparatus along a third axis direction (fore and aft direction, namely Z axis direction) in a line. Thus, the molding and assembling of parts for many connectors can be simultaneously carried out by a single mold apparatus.
