Abstract: A food product includes a thread obtained from a tuber that is wound and twisted in such a way to form a spherical ball. A production method for the food product provides for placing the spherical ball in a perforated spherical mold. A device for producing the food product allows formation of the spherical ball inside the mold.

Abstract: A starch-based flying pet treat comprising, compositionally, a starch-based edible material. The treat has an overall circular shape formed by a center ring providing a first surface area and at least one wing integrally extending from the center ring and providing a second surface. Apertures are positioned in the surface areas to provide a high glide ratio such that the treat is configured to fly through the air when thrown. The treat is throwable for exercising a pet such that the pet chases or retrieves the flying pet treat and is rewarded with an edible pet treat for chewing and consumption.

Abstract: Lollipop having a head (2) and a stick (1), wherein the lollipop head is packaged in a packaging sheet (3), such as a foil sheet, wherein the packaging sheet forms a seal seam with edges (4, 5) that are joined together and wherein the sheet is sealed on both sides of the head, considered in longitudinal direction, and is twisted at at least one of the longitudinal ends. The seal seam extends over the full distance between both ends.

Abstract: A food container particularly configured for use with food products having a refuse component, such as sunflower seeds having shells and cherries having pits. The food container comprises an inner cup having a wall that encloses a receptacle that is open at the top and a chamber that is closed at the bottom. A divider separates the chamber, which stores the food product for consumption, from the receptacle, which receives the refuse. The inner cup is rotatably received in a sleeve. The consumer rotates the sleeve to align an outer opening thereon with an inner opening on the inner cup to dispense food product from the chamber. A cover closes the outer opening and prevents rotation of the sleeve. A beverage can be served in the receptacle. An indexing mechanism and a rotation mechanism can be incorporated into the food container. The food product chamber can include a freshness seal.

A support member for the edible is formed from a semi-rigid plastic material, including a loop-shaped handle portion, a body portion for the edible, and a coupling for fixably connecting the handle portion to the body portion. The body portion can be shaped for modeling a prototype such as a cartoon character or a vehicle. The body portion can be loop-shaped for enhancing the security of the edible, and the loop configuration can also simulate the object. The body and handle portions are formed with a lobed cross-sectional shape simulative of a rope for enhancing support of the edible material, and for a desired combination of strength, flexibility, and ease of gripping the handle portion. The edible material can include a first edible layer shaped for simulating a prototype object, and a second edible layer that is at least semi-transparent for permitting view of the first edible layer.

Abstract: A device for mounting thereon a consumable confection. The invention is a combination of a mouth and lip conforming confection that is mounted on a drip-catching, stylistically shaped, biodegradable handle that can be grasped comfortably and securely by a toddler. The drip catch device may be either of a consumable composition and secured to the handle by a nontoxic, consumable musilage, or it may be formed integrally with the handle and be of a nontoxic, disposable, biodegradable composition. The main objective of the invention is to provide a confection holder, whether for frozen product or other solid or semi-solid product, that may be securely grasped by a toddler and which has the shape most comfortably and easily received into the toddler's mouth. The base handle is biodegradable and is disposable; it provides an aseptic means for the toddler to handle the confection during its consumption.

Abstract: A method of preparing a food product, such as a pizza, supported on a handle held by a diner while being eaten. Pizza dough is prepared and then rolled out into sheets of dough which are cut into rectangular-shaped pieces. A handle with a disc is laid within one longitudinal margin of the piece. Two longitudinal margins and one transverse margin are moistened to develop adhesiveness. The central portion of the piece is filled with a food filler abutting the disc. The unmoistened margin is lapped over the food filler to form a generally cylindrical pouch. The transverse moistened margin is lapped over the unmoistened margin to form a seal. The upper longitudinal margin is crimped together to seal the pouch at the top, and the lower longitudinal margin is crimped against the disc and the handle to provide good support of the food product on the handle. Thereafter, the formed food product is heated for a predetermined time to form an edible pizza.

Abstract: A handle-supported oral medicament in a lollipop format to facilitate chewing or sucking thereof without the risk of inadvertent aspiration of large pieces of the medicament or of its entire body. The handle is formed by a stick of resilient material looped into a single coil whose ends are extended forwardly to define a pair of spring arms terminating in enlarged ears, the body of the medicament being molded about the ears, thereby securing the handle thereto. Because the ears occupy a large internal region therein, even if the body is chewed into pieces, these will be small and not, therefore, lodge in the throat or block the airway. And should the medicament separate from the ears of the handle in the mouth of the patient, the released arms will then spring apart to thereby block entry of the handle into the throat.
