  • Patent number: 11126063
Abstract: A nonlinear optical crystal (NLO) with a phase matching angle that is corrected with a source laser beam for harmonic conversion. The source laser only has to be within a wavelength range depending on the dispersion of the crystal while the crystal is tilted to the calculated expected conversion angle of the source laser as reference. The angle correction is accomplished with a parallel kinematic motion device to which a nonlinear crystal is mounted on a platform, to determine the wavelength- and temperature-specific angle with active laser alignment and subsequent precision resurfacing. The invented phase matching angle correction is applicable to any uniaxial and biaxial NLO crystals in a wide range of wavelengths, e.g., from far ultraviolet to visible to far infrared. It is of most value for NLO crystals of large walk-off and is applicable to any prior art frequency converting architectures.

Abstract: The disclosure includes a platinum-based alloy catalyst and a preparation method thereof, a membrane electrode and a fuel cell. The method for preparing the platinum-based alloy catalyst comprises the following steps: (1) preparing nano-sized alloy particles of platinum and 3d transition metal; (2) carrying out acid treatment on the alloy particles prepared in step (1); and (3) annealing the alloy particles treated in step (2). The size of the platinum-based alloy particles is controlled, an atom number ratio of platinum to transition metal in the platinum-based alloy is controlled, and then etching and dissolution of acid is combined so that an atom number ratio of platinum to transition metal is further controlled, subsequently annealing is carried out at high temperature. The prepared platinum-based alloy catalyst improves the stability and durability of the platinum-based alloy catalyst, which supports the large-scale application of the platinum-based alloy catalyst in the fuel cell.

  • Patent number: 10957698
Abstract: Devices and methods are provided to fabricate nanosheet field-effect transistor devices having dummy nanosheet channel layers disposed above active nanosheet channel layers to protect the active nanosheet channel layers from oxidation during work function metal patterning processes that are implemented as part of a multi-threshold voltage process module. The dummy nanosheet channel layers have a reduced thickness so that the dummy nanosheet layers do not function as active channel layers of the nanosheet field-effect transistor devices. The dummy nanosheet channel layers serve as oxygen infusion blocking layers to protect the active nanosheet channel layers from being infused with oxygen and oxidized by a directional plasma etch process performed during a work function metal patterning process.
