Abstract: The present invention relates to electrical separators, especially for use in lithium high energy batteries, and to a process for making them. Separators for use in lithium high energy batteries have to have a very low weight and a very low thickness. It has been found that, surprisingly, such separators having a weight of less than 50 g/m2 and a thickness of less than 35 ?m are preparable by applying a ceramic coating to a polymeric web less than 30 ?m in thickness, these separators being very useful in lithium high energy batteries when pyrogenic oxides of the elements Al, Si and/or Zr are used as a particulate pore-forming component.

The composite sheet material is suitable for use as a building construction wrap such as roof lining and house wrap.

Abstract: Provided is a method for reinforcing a foam material in which a working region is first prescribed. A gap that at least partially encloses the prescribed working region in a two-dimensional manner is created in the foam material. A strut is introduced into the foam material, extending from an entry surface of the foam material from outside the working region to at least the fibrous sheet-like material. From a further aspect, a sandwich component with a core which comprises a foam material is provided. A fibrous sheet-like material arranged in the foam material at least partially encloses a working region of the sandwich component in a sheet-like manner. At least one strut is incorporated in the foam material and extends from an entry surface of the foam material from outside the working region to at least the fibrous sheet-like material.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for detecting the defects of a wall used for enclosing a space where—generally liquid—materials are stored, with a coating on its internal side, especially a container wall, or/and the defects in the coating. In numerous fields of life all types of different materials, such as chemicals, solvents, petroleum oil and petroleum fractions, etc. need to be stored in a way excluding the possibility of these materials getting into the environment or other materials from the environment intermixing with the stored materials. In most cases such materials are stored in containers made of different materials, mostly metal, the walls of which holes may appear either as a result of corrosion or other damage, and through the appearing holes materials can flow either from outside into the container or from inside the container into the environment, and so the stored material may become unsuitable for use or serious environmental pollution may occur.

Abstract: A slider includes a foam core, a first foam skin, a second foam skin, a plurality of third foam skins, a patterned laminate and a plastic board. The foam core is encased by the first, second and third foam skins. Specifically, the first foam skin is laminated to a top, a front edge and a rear edge of the foam core. The second foam skin is laminated to a bottom of the foam core. The third foam skins are laminated to side edges of the foam core respectively. The patterned laminate includes an outer plastic film, an inner plastic film and a pattern. The inner plastic film is laminated to a top of the first foam skin. The pattern is laminated between the inner and outer plastic films and is visible from outside of the outer plastic film. In addition, the plastic board is laminated to a bottom of the second foam skin.
