  • Patent number: 6846530
Abstract: A multilayered packaging film having good antifog performance that is suitable for use in food packaging. The multilayered film comprises a nylon film having first and second surfaces; a silicone oil on the first surface of the nylon film; and a sealant film on the second surface of the nylon film, either directly or via an intermediate adhesive tie layer. An antifog composition is either contained within at least part of the sealant film or is coated on a surface of the sealant film opposite the nylon film. The silicone oil effectively blocks the migration of the antifog composition into the nylon film when the multilayered film is stored in roll form.

Abstract: An acrylic rubber composition in which the base material is an acrylic rubber comprising monomer units of ethyl acrylate, n-butyl acrylate, and cure site monomer, with a ratio (B/A) of the amount of n-butyl acrylate (B) with respect to ethyl acrylate (A) of 1.0 or less by weight. A heat-resistant hose having a layer of this acrylic rubber composition as the innermost layer. The above constitution of the invention provides the acrylic rubber composition effective for preventing aluminum fixing while retaining the material properties of acrylic rubber and its excellent characteristics. The present invention also provides a heat-resistant hose using this acrylic rubber composition at the surface which is to be fitted with an aluminum member.

  • Patent number: 6828387
Abstract: The invention disclosed herein relates to an improved process for making elastomeric polyisoprene articles. In particular, the process of the invention is a system which produces synthetic polyisoprene articles exhibiting tensile strength properties similar to that of solvent-based processes using natural rubber latex. The process comprises an accelerator composition at the pre-cure stage comprising a dithiocarbamate, a thiazole and a guanidine compound. In a preferred embodiment, the accelerator composition comprises zinc diethyldithiocarbamate (ZDEC), zinc 2-mercaptobenzothiazole (ZMBT) and diphenyl guanidine (DPG), in conjunction with a stabilizer, such as sodium caseinate. The invention also includes an elastomeric polyisoprene product made by the process, such as a surgeon's glove.
