The applied seam tape comprises a top layer, a reinforcing layer and an adhesive layer melted through the reinforcing layer and connecting the top layer to the fabric panels over the weld bead. The narrow weld bead and the small seam allowance of the fabric panels it joins allows the seam tape to be secured over the weld bead to the fabric panels while lying in a flat plane. The use of a narrow reinforcing layer of woven polyester, nylon or non-woven ultra-fine fibrous material in the seam tape allows the seam tape to be flexible enough to move with the fabric it joins, reducing the incidence of tape edge abrasion.

Abstract: Disclosed is a glass laminate comprising a thin glass substrate having a first main surface and a second main surface, a supporting glass substrate having a first main surface and a second main surface, and a resin layer and an outer frame layer arranged between the thin glass substrate and the supporting glass substrate. The resin layer is fixed to the first main surface of the supporting glass substrate and is in close contact with the first main surface of the thin glass substrate, while having easy releasability from the first main surface of the thin glass substrate. The outer frame layer surrounds the resin layer on the first main surface of the supporting glass substrate so that the outside air does not come into contact with the resin layer.

Abstract: A method of bonding a trim onto the edge of a frameless automotive glazing using an adhesive involves placing the glazing in a first position in which an edge of the glazing is free to receive a trim and locating a trim having adhesive applied to at least a portion thereof in contact with the glazing. The glazing is then pushed into a second position, deforming the glazing against the trim and the adhesive such that the trim bonds to the glazing. An apparatus for applying the trim is also described.

Abstract: A device is provided for the treatment and prophylaxis of healthy eyes, pseudoaphakic eyes and/or eyes suffering macular and retinal degeneration that comprises a yellow filter applied to a conventional illumination system to protect them from short wavelengths of the visible spectrum under 500 nm and preferably in the range of 350 nm to 500 nm. This device the difficulties and risks of existing ways of protecting eyes undergoing cataract surgery and prevents or improves the degeneration of healthy eyes and those suffering neurodegeneration by the simple application of a protective filter to any lighting system. Embodiments of the invention comprise combining a conventional light source with a conventional yellow filter that absorbs wavelengths of light shorter than 500 nm so that the filter completely covers the illumination source.

Abstract: This invention relates to a series of organic/inorganic hybrid polymers that are easy to fabricate into dimensionally stable films with good ion-conductivity over a wide range of temperatures for use in a variety of applications. The polymers are prepared by the reaction of amines, preferably diamines and mixtures thereof with monoamines with epoxy-functionalized alkoxysilanes. The products of the reaction are polymerized by hydrolysis of the alkoxysilane groups to produce an organic-containing silica network. Suitable functionality introduced into the amine and alkoxysilane groups produce solid polymeric membranes which conduct ions for use in fuel cells, high-performance solid state batteries, chemical sensors, electrochemical capacitors, electro-chromic windows or displays, analog memory devices and the like.
