With Pigment Or Dye (e.g., Carbon Paper, Hectograph Paper, Etc.) Patents (Class 428/488.11)
  • Patent number: 8460774
Abstract: A splice tape for a thermally imaging web. A polymer tape layer, which is thin and strong, has an adhesive layer on its lower side and a thermally imaging composition on its upper side. The thermally imaging composition is similar to the thermal imaging layer on the web. When two ends of a web are joined, the splice tape is placed thereon to join the two ends. The splice tape may be printed at the same time as the web. The thinness of the splice allows the printing to be consistent at the splice, minimizing blank areas.

  • Patent number: 7578903
Abstract: The invention is directed to obtain a colored sanitary tissue paper giving a bright feeling in spite of modest color. The invention provides a colored sanitary tissue paper with a color difference between before and after dyeing of 15 or more in D value of Hunter's color difference formula defined in JIS Z 8730; D=(?L2+?a2+?b2)1/2.

  • Patent number: 7425363
Abstract: A laminate film for protecting a printed image formed on a recording medium by an ink-jet recording system, comprising a surface layer, an intermediate layer and a penetrative layer formed on a heat-resistant substrate in that order. The surface layer and the intermediate layer have a thermally softening property, the intermediate layer has a glass transition temperature lower than that of the surface layer, and the penetrative layer has a thermally melting property.

  • Patent number: 7090915
Abstract: The present invention relates to an opaque, white UV-stabilized low-flammability film with a thickness of from 10 to 500 ?m whose principal constituent is a crystallizable thermoplastic. It also comprises at least barium sulfate as pigment, at least one flame retardant, at least one UV stabilizer as light stabilizer and at least one optical brightener. The barium sulfate and/or the optical brightener and/or the flame retardant and/or the UV stabilizer here is either incorporated directly into the thermoplastic when the polymer is prepared or fed to the thermoplastic as a masterbatch during film production.

  • Patent number: 6863940
Abstract: Weatherproof sheets, suitable for conventional printing, writing, photocopying, and laser printing, are prepared by impregnantly coating a cellulosic substrate on at least one side with a durable weatherproofing composition that is water-based. The composition that is used for general-purpose weatherproof sheets comprises a styrenic acrylic copolymer, a wax, a filler for blocking resistance, a filler for tooth, and a pigment. The preparation of all-purpose weatherproof sheets, usable in photocopiers and laser printers, is made possible by substantially omitting calcium carbonate and titanium dioxide from the composition. The weatherproof sheets resist falling apart, remain legible, and can be written upon when wet. They are also non-yellowing, biodegradable and recylclable. Also, disclosed are methods for making the weatherproof sheets, as well as weatherproof sheets made by those methods.
