Abstract: Floor tiles are disclosed which comprise a carrier layer and a superimposed floor surface forming layer which is provided with a decorative wear resistant surface. In one embodiment the carrier layer protrudes beyond the floor surface layer on two sides and the floor surface layer protrudes beyond the carrier layer on the other two sides and the floor surface forming layer defines an angular groove and a bevelled tongue to enable adjacent tiles to be interlocked. In an alternative embodiment of the invention the groove and tongue are formed to have different angles.

Abstract: A multiple layer of plastic films is laminated in tape form in combination with a layer of aluminum foil so as to enclose the aluminum in a protective layer of plastic, the remaining layers being chosen to provide dielectric and moisture protection for the cable, and incorporating a greater width of plastic combinations than aluminum, such extra width being optionally folded over upon the section containing the aluminum, to provide contiguous faces having thermoplastic properties which will be sealed by the heat of extrusion of the cable jacket during the manufacturing process.

Abstract: The invention relates to safety glass comprising a silicate glass layer and a coating of an elastic material forming a protective layer on at least one side of said glass layer. The coated side has a delineated area formed of a relatively hard, scratch-resistant material to which a label may be removably attached. Thus, when the label is removed, the protective layer is not damaged.

Abstract: Disclosed are three embodiments of a hand-held apparatus for printing and applying pressure sensitive labels. All the embodiments are disclosed as having a housing, a rigid, metal, frame plate mounted by the housing, a platen and a cooperating print head, a delaminator for delaminating printed labels from the web of supporting material on which the labels are carried, an applicator for applying the printed labels, a feed wheel having teeth for engaging and advancing the web, a manually operable actuator drivingly connected to the feed wheel and the print head, a brake, and an ink roll for inking the print head. The apparatus also includes a feed wheel assembly having a feed wheel driven by a pawl and ratchet mechanism. The pawl and ratchet mechanism is adjustably connected to the feed wheel and a rolling contact type one-way clutch prevents loss of tension in the web between the brake and the feed wheel.

Abstract: A continuous paper strip is provided with a first plurality of transverse tear lines spaced apart from each other to divide the strip into a plurality of strip elements having a desired height. Each strip element is subdivided into a first and second part of different heights by a transverse folding line. The first part has a height "h+d", where "h" is the height of the invoice, bill or the like, and "d" is the width of the bands on which an adhesive is applied. The second part has a height "h+2d". Longitudinal slots are purchased at each side of the first part of each strip element each having a width equal to "d". On the main face of the strip and near the transverse folding line separating each strip element, an adhesive is applied on a band of a width substantially equal to "d", while at the opposite face of the strip and on the second part of each strip element an adhesive band is applied near the tear line.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a liquid impervious liner securable in a shipping container for use in the shipping of material which can contaminate or corrode the container or the environment. The liner comprises a base sheet of foam material and a top cover sheet of polymeric material which is bonded to the base sheet and which extends over at least a portion of the walls of the container whereby to substantially constitute a tub which is liquid impervious. A typical use of these liners is for the transportation and shipping of raw skins of animals which are normally treated with rock salt before treatment by tanneries.

Abstract: The disclosure teaches a method for joining metal-plastic laminates and a firmly bonded assembly prepared thereby. In accordance with the disclosed method, two sheet like metal-plastic laminates, each of which has at least one layered edge portion, are firmly bonded together at said edge portions.

Abstract: An improved laminate patch for repair of an opening in the facing surface of an interior wall or in a hollow door surface and having a thin, relatively rigid, and a non-combustible plate disposable over such opening, adhesive means applied to such plate at one side thereof for holding the plate in intimate proximity to the surface, and plate cover means applied to the opposite side of and covering such plate to form a smooth and substantially planar configuration with the wall surface.

Abstract: A weatherstrip tape includes an elongated body of resilient plastic foam material rectangular in cross section and having a pair of opposed faces. A pair of longitudinally extending parallel coplaner anchor strips of plastic material along their inner edge portions overly one face of said body and are secured thereto. Outer edge portions of said anchor strips extend laterally from opposite sides of said body. Said anchor strips are adapted for manual folding into parallel engagement, with said outer edge portions adapted for projection into and anchoring within a clearance space with the elongated body adapted for sealing over such clearance space.

Abstract: A perforated filing strip is provided and has a self-adhesive strip thereon for attachment to a document to be filed. The perforations in the filing strip receive locating pins or the like for filing. The perforations are on an outer part of the strip and the self-adhesive strip is on the inner part of the filing strip, the inner and outer parts being defined from each other by a fold line.

Abstract: A web with overlays for use in the document presentation device of a photographic copying machine has several sheet-like sections with overlapping portions which are separably coupled to each other by snap fasteners and carry overlays which are welded thereto by the application of heat and pressure. The overlays are applied to those sides of the sections which are coated with layers of photographic emulsion.
