Bee Type Patents (Class 43/128)
  • Patent number: 12089587
Abstract: A vacuum machine has a flat deck, a first side wall extending downward from a first side edge and a second side wall extending downward from the second side edge, an opening through the deck with a length and width less than the length of the opening in the direction of the length of the deck, a first plenum affixed to an upper surface of the deck, a fan assembly joined to the plenum, the fan assembly having a first internal fan driven by a motor with fan blades adapted to be manually adjusted individually in attitude, perforated panels in a second plenum having openings of a size and geometry to destroy insects drawn through the openings; and a translatable substantially flat panel joined by fasteners through slots in the translatable panel to an underside of the deck proximate the opening through the deck.

Abstract: Improved air directing assemblies are provided. More particularly, the present disclosure provides improved air directing assemblies for use with beekeeping smoker assemblies or the like. The present disclosure provides for an air directing assembly that provides or blows a constant, continuous and/or directed stream of air into and/or to a smoker assembly, thereby providing a sufficient/adequate and/or improved amount of smoke to the bees, which thereby keeps the bees calm when the hive is open by the user. The air directing assemblies of the present disclosure prevent the fire in a smoker assembly from going out, and they can replace the pumps/bellows typically associated with smoker assemblies. Thee improved air directing assemblies can be modified to mount with respect to and/or be utilized with a wide variety of smoker assemblies or the like.

  • Publication number: 20130232850
Abstract: A device for handling fish eggs and other benthic macro invertebrates is provided for removal from a surface of a waterway. An enlarged, generally planar housing has a lower surface formed of a material having sufficient flexibility so that a vacuum that communicates through a collector cavity can remove fish eggs, for example, from a waterway. Fish eggs can be destroyed, either with high pressure fluid that may be a part of the vacuum assembly, or mechanically destroyed, or alternatively the fish eggs may be filtered or separated from the remainder of the collected material. Fluid such as water, saline, chemical or toxins, warm water, etc., are preferably introduced into the waterway surface about the periphery of the housing to treat and/or dislodge the fish eggs.
