    Abstract: Improvements in an arm rest for a fishing pole is disclosed. The arm rest in this disclosure utilizes a replacement reel seat and handle attachment bracket which are installed around the rod blank using epoxy. The replacement reel seat fits onto the outside diameter of the pole and engages into the reel to transfer forces from the reel to the arm rest. A forearm cup is used to distribute loads across a wider area of the arm. The further distance from the reel, the forces are reduced by virtue of distance from the pivot point. Some adjustment allows for accommodating variation in user preference and arm geometry to minimize fatigue. The handle attachment bracket can be combined with a fore grip so the user can install any style of reel seat and in front of the reel body prior to installing the forearm cup or handle.

Rotation of the trigger caused by a strike forces the post from the pocket and causes the wire of the signal to clear a retainer on the side of the main body. A tension assembly is provided for adjusting the amount of force that is required to rotate the trigger. The post and a ledge holds the signal in place and the tensioner can be used to lock the signal in the storage position.

The hollow rod has at least some portions that are translucent. An independent light source inserted into the hollow handle is directed toward the concave reflector and light is directed into the plastic optical fiber, transmitted to the hollow rod, and diffused out into the hollow rod and then outside.     Abstract: A fish length and weight measuring device includes a tape measure having graduated markings displayed on at least one side thereof and a weight measuring hook extending from the device opposite the tape measure. Loop fasteners are provided on a back side of the device for coupling it the butt end of a fishing rod. The measuring device may include a housing having a transparent face through which the weight of a measured fish is displayed on a digital display. A power supply is coupled to the display. A fish is easily measured by hooking the end of the tape measure into the mouth of the fish and extending it along the length of the fishing rod. The fish is easily measure by gripping the butt of the pole and hooking the fish onto the weight measuring hook. In this manner, a fisherman can easily determine whether the fish is a keeper or can accurately measure the size and weight of a caught fish.

The top is wider than the bottom so that the cushion fits under an arm without cutting off circulation. A bore formed in the bottom snugly receives the proximal end. In a second embodiment, the cushion is solid and an elastic band tightly ensleeves the cushion and the proximal end of the rod so that all of the cushion is between the proximal end and the under arm area of the user. The butt end of the rod may be placed into a rod holder without removal of the cushion.
