Abstract: It is provided a bait grinder (10) adapted for cutting bait fish into chum bait and for grinding it, comprising an oblong housing (11) for feeding by gravity the bait fish; cutting means (30) fastened to lower end of an axial shaft (31); filtering means (33) at the housing outlet cooperating with means for keeping the filtering function thereof, wherein the cutting (30) comprise scything cutting mean (35) which are also means for driving and comprising the chum bait against the filtering mean (33) for grinding them—and shearing cutting means (36) for cutting residual chum bait retained by the filtering means (33) for cutting residual chum bait retained by the filtering means (33), which are in sliding contact with these latter.
Abstract: A tube is constructed of a heavy duty flexible or rigid plastic or metal and designed for the sealed storage and on demand release of a liquid or dry fish, animal or reptile repellent. Said tube may be a specially fabricated device or a standard fire extinguisher or other common liquid, gas or particle dispenser which can be incorporated into a lifesaving device such as a life guard rescue flotation buoy. The tube's predator specific repellent, for example sodium lauryl sulfate which is a known shark repellent, may be discharged by the user in the event of an attack by the predator. The purpose is to expose the predator to an immediate high concentration of the appropriate repellent thereby diverting the predator from it's attack.
Abstract: The invention relates to a berley dispenser which can hold large pieces of berley. Under the action of wave movement, the berley dispenser chops the berley into smaller pieces which are then dispersed through a series of apertures.
Abstract: A combination bobber and chum dispenser for use in surface fishing comprising a containment member and an upper closure member secured to the containment member so as to create a lightweight hollow body designed to float adjacent the surface of the water and to be suitable for containing chum. A floatation member is disposed in the interior of the hollow body adjacent the closure member. The containment member contains a chum-receiving interior portion and has a chum distribution location involving at least one hole through which chum can be inserted into the interior portion and thereafter distributed into the water at a controlled rate. The preferred arrangement for controlling the rate at which chum can be distributed involves a rotatably mounted closure member movable between a position blocking the hole, and positions in which the hole is fully open or only partially blocked.
Abstract: A chum dispenser that houses chum for fishing applications. The instant invention is suspended by a rope and is submerged under water to a predetermined depth. It comprises a housing with first and second ends. The housing stores chum and has through holes to allow chum to seep out. The first end has a removable weighted end-cap and the second end has a flap assembly. The rope suspends the instant invention by the flap assembly. Flaps cover the second end of the housing when the instant invention is weighted down by the weighted end-cap. The flap assembly has springs attached to the housing that keep it partially open, exposing the second end of the housing and allowing the chum to exit therefrom when the rope is jerked by the user to overcome the weight of the weighted end-cap.
Abstract: This invention relates to delayed release bait canisters in which a closure member covers an opening in a body member against a bias spring and is released by a corrodible link that, when intact, secures the closure in place over the opening. In one example the canister (10, FIG. 1A) has a tubular plastic body (12) fitted with cylindrical plastic end-caps (14) and having a semi-cylindrical plastic closure (16) that fits around it to cover an opening (18) formed therein. A knob (20) is formed at the center of body (12) and a similar knob 22 is formed in the center of the closure (16) near one edge thereof. The closure (16) is biased to the open position by a loop of elastic cord (24), the ends of which are secured in the end caps (14). A corrodible link (28) with end rings (30) that fit over knobs (20) and (22) is used to hold closure (16) in its closed position over opening (18), the periphery of the closure being pulled into close contact with body (12) by the tension in cord (24).

Abstract: It is provided a device for big fish baiting, comprising means (1) for feeding baits; means (2) for supporting said feeding means and fastening them to a craft; means (10) for conveying said baits from the feeding means (1) into a water environment, wherein said conveying means are intended to create in said water environment an appeal wake for big fishes into the proximity of the craft sailing said water environment.

Abstract: The stink bait saver is to be conveniently used for fishing with stink bait, as you can fill the inside slotted container with stink bait, screw the container onto the inside threads of lid with preformed eye and suspend in the water while fishing for stink bait loving fish. When the fisherman is through for the day he can bring up the container with the stink bait and seal it in the outside container, which is screwed onto the outside threads in the same lid that is already attached to the inside container. This seals the scent and mess to store for another fishing trip. This is very cost effective as no new stink bait has to be purchased to fish again. As the containers are made from plastic they can be recycled; thus they are “Environmentally Friendly” product.
