Patent number: 12240229Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a method of indirect printing with an aqueous ink. In some embodiments, an intermediate transfer member (ITM) comprising a silicone-based release layer surface is employed. For example, the release layer surface satisfies at least one of the following properties: (i) a receding contact angle of a drop of distilled water deposited on the silicone-based release layer surface is at most 60°; and (ii) a 10-second dynamic contact angle (DCA) of a drop of distilled water deposited on the silicone-based release layer surface is at most 108°. Related apparatus, systems and treatment formulations are disclosed herein.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2023Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: LANDA CORPORATION LTD.Inventors: Benzion Landa, Sagi Abramovich, Moshe Levanon, Galia Golodetz, Helena Chechik, On Mero, Tatiana Kurtser, Ayal Galili, Uriel Pomerantz, Dan Avital, Jose Kuperwasser, Omer Ashkenazi

Patent number: 9758699Abstract: A method for processing a thin film layer, for example to form an ink jet printhead, can include the use of an adhesive layer that can be converted from a first state having a first adhesive force to a second state having a second adhesive force, where the first state is stronger than the second state. Conversion from the first state to the second state can be performed using a suitable treatment. In an embodiment, the adhesive layer may be a thermal release material that is converted during a heat treatment. In another embodiment, the adhesive layer may be a layer that is sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light, and is converted during exposure to UV light emitted by a UV light source.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2015Date of Patent: September 12, 2017Assignee: XEROX CORPORATIONInventors: Cory Daniel Luth, David Jonathan Houston
