Patent number: 4892811Abstract: A silver halide photographic material which comprises a support having coated thereon a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the photographic material contains a blocked photographic agent represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein A represents a photographic agent moiety which is bonded to a blocking moiety through a hetero atom, or a precursor thereof; R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group; and Z represents atoms necessary to form a carboxylic ring or a heterocyclic ring. The blocked photographic agent is completely stable upon storage of the photographic material, and releases a photographic agent at a desired time upon processing of the photographic material.
