Mixed Grain Patents (Class 430/571)
  • Patent number: 4617259
Abstract: A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least a layer containing a group of silver halide grains having a relation that the larger an amount of silver of a grain is, the larger an amount of a content of silver iodide therein is, at a correlative coefficient of not less than 0.7 between a silver halide crystal grain size and a silver iodide content therein. The silver halide color photographic material has improved granularity and an improved gradient, and uses a small amount of silver.

  • Patent number: 4521507
Abstract: There is provided a multi-layer light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material having plural silver halide emulsion layers having respective sensitivities to light at different spectral regions on a support, wherein at least 80% of the total number of silver halide grains contained in at least one of the light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers having sensitivities to different spectral regions, comprise silver halide grains having grain sizes greater than 0.8 .mu. and silver halide grains smaller than 0.65 .mu..The multi-layer silver halide color photographic material according to this invention exhibits improved sharpness of the color images formed.

  • Patent number: 4521508
Abstract: A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support base having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer and a protective layer. The material contains a photosensitive silver halide emulsion and inside fogged silver halide emulsion as well as a disulfide compound. The disulfide compound is a compound represented by the general formula (I):A--S--S--B (I)wherein A and B independently represent an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group or ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a heterocyclic group or an amino group. The material can form images having high contrast and a high maximum density. Further, the material has high sensitivity to light and can be developed at a low temperature in a reduced amount of time.

  • Patent number: 4442201
Abstract: A method for producing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having on a support thereof at least one layer formed of an emulsion containing light-sensitive silver halide particles sensitized by a sensitizing dye comprising the steps of adding a first sensitizing dye to an emulsion containing silver halide particles, during the chemical ripening of the silver halide particles, to sensitize the silver halide particles; adding a second sensitizing dye to the emulsion containing the sensitized silver halide particles, after the chemical ripening of the silver halide particles, to form a coating liquid; and coating a support with the coating liquid to produce a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material.

  • Patent number: 4276372
Abstract: A color photographic material is provided in which the interimage effect is adjusted to provide optimum color reproduction. The photographic material comprises an emulsion referred to as type I emulsion, which releases an inhibitor on development and another emulsion with underripened grains which are more soluble than those of the type I emulsion.
