  • Publication number: 20110183277
Abstract: A solenoid valve driving apparatus includes switching means for ON/OFF-controlling application of a direct current voltage to a solenoid of a solenoid valve, and signal outputting means. A first period and a consecutive second period are set as a valve opening operation period of the solenoid valve. When the signal outputting means outputs the PWM signal to the switching means, a duty ratio of the output signal is set to be higher in the second period than in the first period so that a power supplied to the solenoid is larger in the second period than in the first period. As a result, a valve opening operation is performed in the solenoid valve reliably, and loud noise generation during the valve opening operation is suppressed.

Abstract: A temperature control system and method for use with an exhaust flow simulation system. A typical exhaust flow simulator is a burner-based system, in which exhaust from a combustive burner is exhausted through an exhaust line. A temperature control section divides the exhaust from the burner line into two paths: a cool path and an uncooled (hot) path. The cool path uses a heat exchanger to cool the exhaust. The cool path also has a control valve that controls the relative portions of hot and cool exhaust, which are re-mixed downstream the valve into an exhaust line. Various embodiments have different configurations for the two paths.

Abstract: A foldable lighter that prevents inadvertent ignition by erroneously pressing on the operating button at time of folding the swing-arm to make the lighter compact. A foldable lighter 1 that comprises a lighter body 2 that contains a fuel tank, a piezoelectric unit 102 and an operating button 8, and swing-arm 4 connected with free swinging to one end of lighter body 2 and that incorporates a locking mechanism that prevents accidental depression of the operating button 8. The locking mechanism consists of a projecting portions 74 formed in a predetermined range of the cylindrical walls 26a, 26c made integrally with a swing-arm 4 and a hook 8b that extends from the operating button along a portion of the cylindrical walls.

Abstract: An illuminated ornament with musical candle works by lighting a candle. The two twisted pieces of conductor wire, which are embedded in the candle and separated from a set of cotton candlewick, will be melted together by candle flame so that the electronic circuit, which is connected with tow pieces of conductor wire from candle, is closed. As a result of the lighted candle, the illuminated ornament with musical candle will play music and shine immediately.

Abstract: A combustion burner resulting in low oxides of nitrogen includes a primary combustion zone, for use as an ignition source. The primary combustion zone locating within a combustion chamber, and being separated from the base of the combustion chamber by a wall. A burner provides a secondary oxidant stream that is delivered to the combustion chamber at the base of an exterior wall, to entrain and mix with flue gases present in the combustion chamber. Then secondary fuel is injected into the resulting secondary oxidant-flue gas mixture. Combustion of the secondary fuel with the oxidant flue gas mixture results in lower concentration of oxides of nitrogen emitted to the atmosphere.

Abstract: The invention comprises a sectional candle apparatus. The candle is made in a plurality of sectional candle wax portions. A plurality of thin non combustable wafers separate each of the candle portions or sections from one another with openings centrally of each wafers or spacers so that one continues wick may extend through the candle portions and through the spacer. The candle can be turned by the wick down to one of the spacers and then the remaining unburned portion of one uppermost candle sectional portion broken off evenly across the spacer to provide an even top surface to the candle.

Abstract: A protrusion-free cigarette lighter with built-in clip for attachment of a chain or cord, to aid in avoiding loss, theft or misplacement of the lighter. The present invention lighter uniquely may stand on its own even though it has a chain clip, due to the fact that the clip is built into the main body of the lighter. The cigarette lighter includes: a.) a main housing having a top, a bottom and sidewalls, the bottom being predominantly flat so as to be standable upright on a horizontal surface, the main housing including lighter fuel storage means, conventional movement means for movement of lighter fuel to a flame area on the top, a flint striker located on the top for directing flint to the flame area and a control lever to permit and prevent fuel from flowing from the storage means to the flame area; and, b.

Abstract: A lighter has been integrated into portable electronic equipments such as cellular phones, PDAs, or portable game players. The lighter can be completely stowed within the portable electronic equipment so that no parts protrude out of the portable electronic equipment's housing. Thereby not only the size can be reduced but also damage and entanglement with other things the portable electronic equipment is kept together as well as injuries can be avoided. The lighter is operated by a switch which is implemented as button either on the side of the portable electronic equipment or as a GUI menu or button on the display unit. When pressing the switch button the cover on the outlet of the lighter is being removed while at the same time a cylinder is being extended and moving out of the outlet, and a flame ignited in the burner unit appears from inside of the cylinder. The lighter includes a fuel tank which can be either fixed or removable as for instance fuel gas cartridges.
