  • Patent number: 6758208
Abstract: A compact, highly flexible and efficient, multi-positionable, multi-dimensional and multi-stage gas-fired heat exchanger system as described. The system is connectable in a forced air duct regardless of the angular position and size of the duct. The heat exchanger comprises one or more heat transfer tubes which are shaped and dimensioned as dictated by the customized use of the heat exchanger. The tubes are secured to a support panel as well as the gas burner associated with each of the inlet openings of the tubes. A position orientable gas valve is secured to a gas distribution manifold. A turbulator may be associated with at least some of the tubes to cause turbulence in the hot combustion flow in each of the tubes to modify the efficiency in heat transfer along one or more sections of the tubes by directing hot combustion gas along an inner circumferential wall of the tubes.

  • Patent number: 6589045
Abstract: A piezoelectric jet lighter is adapted for producing both jet flame and visible in order to selectively light a cigarette, a cigar, and a pipe. The piezoelectric jet lighter includes a gas ejecting pipe having a gas releasable valve connected to a jet nozzle for producing the jet flame and two gas emitting nozzles for producing the visible flames respectively. To operate the piezoelectric lighter, a downward force must be applied on an ignition button to ignite the lighter wherein the gas is emitted from the gas ejecting pipe to the jet flame to produce the jet flame. While the downward force is released, the gas releasable valve is automatically switched for allowing gas transported to the gas emitting nozzles to produce the visible flame.

  • Patent number: 5979430
Abstract: A gas appliance includes a pair of separate manifolds which each supply gas to two burner assemblies. Each manifold includes a relatively short and straight steel tube having a central section with a generally square-shaped cross-section and end sections with generally circular-shaped cross-sections, and a pair of end plugs closing the end sections to form a sealed interior space. The end plugs and the tube are swaged together at the end sections to form a gas-tight seal. A pair of bolt-through type valves are associated with each of the manifolds to regulate flow of gas from the manifolds to the burner assemblies. The valves have inlets directly secured to the manifolds and outlets connected to the burner assemblies with burner tubes. A pair of light-weight aluminum supply tubes connect a gas inlet with the two manifolds. The supply tubes are preferably secured to the manifolds with bolt-through type adapters located at the longitudinal centers of the manifold tubes and between the two valves.
