Abstract: A fuel reformer burner for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) system includes a first tube through which a fuel for a fuel reformer is supplied and a second tube through which anode-off gas (AOG) is supplied from a fuel cell stack. The second tube is not connected to the first tube, and an inlet line through which an air is supplied is connected to the first tube.

Abstract: A pot burner has a circularly cylindrical combustion space 10 with openings 60, 62, 64 in its wall for the supply of combustion air and with an inlet in its floor 32 for the liquid fuel. Concentrically in the combustion space 10 there is placed a first cage 28 with a smaller diameter and a second cage 42 with a larger diameter than the circular outlet 18 for the combustion gases. The first cage is shut off at the top by an upper cover wall 26 whereas the second cage 42 is shut off at the top by an annular outer part of the cover wall at a lower level. The second cage 42 is divided into an upper annular chamber 36 and a lower annular chamber 38 by a perforated ring 46. The floor 14 forming the bottom of the combustion space 10 is covered over by a shield 82 to prevent the floor 14 from being cooled by incoming cold air for combustion.
Abstract: A pot burner, which in an undefined sloping position with rocking movements functions well, particularly in vehicles and vessels, because the vaporing surface of the fuel is defined and because the vapored fuel is well mixed with air in a first cage, which is enclosed by a second cage.
Abstract: Apparatus for burning spirit or similar liquid fuels.A draught or burner tube (16) has a flange (18) defining a gap (32) in relation to a ring spaced below the flange and supported thereby. The container is engaged with the ring from below, an exposed surface of a fuel-absorbing mass (28) being located inside the ring. A gap is open at the periphery of the flange and the ring so that combustion air is drawn to the draught or burner tube through the gap along the exposed surface of the mass together with fuel vapors evaporating therefrom.
Abstract: A liquid fuel burner has a combustion head connected to a vaporization chamber which is fed with air atomized fuel by an atomizer so that the fuel is initially atomized, in a converging tube, and then vaporized prior to mixing with air and combustion.

Abstract: A burner comprising a substantially diamond-shaped housing with in the interior one or more partitions defining with the two housing walls opposite the burner mouth two or more similarly diamond-shaped burners, the partition most remote from the burner mouth having a flame opening the rim of which being bent away from the burner mouth, the burner mouth being so large that air flows entering through air supply orifices near said mouth reach to the middle or slightly beyond thereof and the bottom being recessed over some degrees in the center between the end walls of the burner.
