With Apparatus Repair Or Assembly Means Patents (Class 432/76)
  • Patent number: 11570994
Abstract: A kiln includes a stage, a stove, a gas supply assembly, and a combustion device wherein, the stage includes a stage body and a carrier member. The stage body has a first chamber, while the carrier member is detachably disposed at the stage body. The stove is joined to the stage body and has an entry and a second chamber. The gas supply assembly is disposed at the stage body, and part of the gas supply assembly is located in the first chamber. The combustion device is located in the second chamber. The carrier member can be detached from the stage body and be moved out of the stove from the entry so that the first chamber communicates with the second chamber. In this way, the working space inside the kiln can be increased, which is convenient for users to repair and maintain the gas supply assembly or the combustion device.

  • Patent number: 11186778
Abstract: A system and method for repairing a coke oven having an oven chamber formed from ceramic bricks. A representative system includes a insulated enclosure insertable into the oven chamber and includes removable insulated panels that define an interior area for workers to work in. The insulated enclosure is movable between an expanded configuration and a compact configuration and moving the enclosure to the expanded configuration will decrease the distance between the insulated enclosure and the walls of the oven chamber. Removing the panels exposes the ceramic bricks and allows workers within the interior area to access and the bricks and repair the oven chamber while the oven chamber is still hot. A loading apparatus lifts and inserts the insulated enclosure into the oven chamber. The insulated enclosure can be coupled to additional insulated enclosures to form an elongated interior area.

Abstract: A conveyor oven has several heating zones. Each heating zone is comprised of one or more infrared emitters that are configured to emit a spectrum of infrared wavelengths that varies in intensity and spectrum over time. The spectra of emitted infrared wavelengths in each zone can have the same or different profile. Zones are regions wherein infrared emitters are configured and operated to emit the same or substantially the same infrared energy wavelengths and intensity levels across an IR spectrum. Access to the infrared emitters and the conveyor is provided by one or more access or maintenance ports formed into a side of the conveyor oven. Temperature control inside the oven is effectuated by venting hot air through air vents formed into the oven sides and/or top.

  • Patent number: 5605454
Abstract: A quartz tube with multiple thermocouple ports arranged along its radius allows for the quartz tube to be rotated while the thermocouple is always placed in the bottom position of the quartz tube. This avoids a problem of the sagging of the quartz tube. When quartz tubes are not rotated, the quartz tubes tend to start sagging from their top. By rotating the quartz tube different portions of the quartz tube are at the top at different times. By using multiple thermocouple ports arranged around the radius of the quartz tube, the thermocouple can be positioned at the bottom of the quartz tube for different orientations of the quartz tube.

  • Patent number: 4959012
Abstract: An apparatus for securing loose wall brick or refractory lining in process heaters eliminates the need for the assistance of personnel outside the heater. Also, the requirement for scaffolding outside the heater is eliminated. Brick or refractory lining on process heater walls becomes loose and pulls away from the skin because of expansion and contraction over a period of time. The holdback plate assembly may comprise a rod of stainless steel which is threaded at one end (access end) and slotted at the other end (non-access end). A piece of flat bar is pivotally attached off center in the slotted end of the rod thereby allowing it to rotate freely for 90.degree. when unrestrained. The rod is inserted through a hole drilled through the brick and heater wall then positioned such that the flat bar rotates 90.degree. in the slot.
