Patent number: 10143355Abstract: The present invention is directed towards surgical devices and a method used in minimally invasive surgery whereby a device is incorporated into or onto an instrument to strengthen its shaft and improve its functionality in minimally invasive surgery. The primary goal of the invention is to increase the strength and rigidity of an instrument by using a specially designed sleeve that strengthens the instrument, thereby reducing its ability to bend and increasing its load carrying capacity. The invention will provide a system that gives extra strength and rigidity to small instrument shafts, so that surgeons can still safely and reliably perform their procedures, but can also use incisions that are as small as possible.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2016Date of Patent: December 4, 2018Assignee: INNERSPACE SURGICAL CORPORATIONInventors: Ricardo Alexander Gomez, Sandy Lawrence Heck, Eric William Conley

Patent number: 9772001Abstract: An over-loading protection pressing device adapted for pressing an object includes a housing, a pressing head and a protection portion. The housing has a clamping portion fixed thereon. The pressing head protrudes from the housing, and the pressing head is configured for pressing the object. The protection portion is configured to be received in the housing and coupled to the pressing head via a supporting pole. The protection portion is clamped by the clamping portion. When a pressure along a lengthwise direction of the housing is in a predetermined range, the clamping portion is clipped on a first position of the protection portion; when the pressure is over a predetermined range, the clamping portion can move from the first position to a second position.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2015Date of Patent: September 26, 2017Assignees: Fu Tai Hua Industry (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., HON HAI PRECISION INDUSTRY CO., LTD.Inventor: Guang Yang

Patent number: 8177555Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for extracting a tooth root, said device having a pin (2) which can be inserted and fixed in the tooth root (10). The pin (2) can be fixed to the front end of a unit (5) via a connection piece (3). The unit (5) can transfer an impact force to the pin (2) in the direction of extraction (A). The device enables an especially simple operation, without clearance problems or danger of injury in the mouth area, particularly on account of the good access to the tooth root provided by the connection piece, which is designed as a thin connection rod.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2007Date of Patent: May 15, 2012Inventor: Benno Syfrig

Patent number: 4725233Abstract: A device for removing crowns, bridges, or similar structures from the stumps (5) of teeth by breaking up the cement that secures them and having an extraction frame (3) with two mutually opposed jaws (4) that engage the vicinity of the crown (6), bridge, or other structure. A mechanism (1) for applying and extracting force to the extraction frame in a direction opposite the direction (6) of insertion is provided. The mechanism (1) has a massive movable projectile (17) guided along a path that at least terminates contrary to the direction (16) of insertion and subject to a source of power that can be released. An anvil (28) is positioned at the end of the path and secured to the extraction frame (3) and to the jaws (4). The jaws (4) are designed to engage the surface (10) of the crown (6), bridge, or other structure.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 1986Date of Patent: February 16, 1988Inventor: Jens Planert

Patent number: 4300885Abstract: A percussive dental crown extractor comprises a hook 16 attached by an arm 14 to the front end of a tube 12 which encloses a cylindrical, notched hammer 44 and a spring 50 urging the hammer to the rear end of the tube, remote from the hook. The tube is telescoped into an outer cylinder 10. The tube and cylinder are held together by an axial post 38, one end of which is attached to the bottom 32 of the cylinder, the other end of which extends through an opening in the rear 36 of the tube and has a captivating cap 40 inside the tube. A spring 42 around the post urges the tube and cylinder apart. A sear 52 mounted in a boss 20 in the side of the tube, engages a notch 46 on the hammer when the hammer is moved to the front end 34 of the tube by compressing the cylinder and tube. When the cylinder and tube are relaxed, the hammer and its spring are held cocked by the sear.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 1980Date of Patent: November 17, 1981Inventor: George Khait
