  • Patent number: 9733916
Abstract: Embodiments link external widgets to internal data displayed being within a dashboard as part of a story. An interface allows selecting external widget(s) based upon matching with a parameter of internal data being accessed. A user may define in an interactive manner, the behavior of the external widget in terms of characteristics such as data rendering, configurable fields, update behavior, and/or access to external sources (e.g., authentication). In an example, internal geographic dashboard data may serve as a basis for accessing external data such as social media data via a custom widget searching relevant messages combined with keywords (e.g., referring to geography). An external widget may be linked to other (internal/external) widgets through a linking table, such that changed/updated data is propagated for display within the dashboard. External widgets may thus be linked to data currently being viewed in terms of chart selection, data highlighting and data filtering mechanisms.

For example, candidates' skill levels in multiple skills are assessed, and groups are formed based on commonality of skill level. A period-specific curriculum is generated for each group to address the specific needs of the individuals of the respective group. After delivery of the period-specific targeted curriculum over the period, re-assessments of the current skill of the group members are made, and a period-specific curriculum for the subsequent period is generated and delivered. Fidelity of an implementation of the curriculum is analyzed, and alerts, reminders, and reports are provided to improve fidelity of an implementation of the curriculum.

Abstract: There is provided a system that can evaluate an operation learning level of a trainee quantitatively and accurately, with a temporal element taken into account. A learning level evaluation system 10 of the present invention executes a procedure evaluation process to evaluate operation procedures, and a timing evaluation process to evaluate operation timings. The procedure evaluation process evaluates the degree of similarity of encoded trainee data obtained by encoding trainee data that is recorded according to operation performed by a trainee, with respect to encoded expert data obtained by encoding expert data that is recorded according to operation performed by an expert. The timing evaluation process evaluates a deviation between timings at which the same operation is performed, on the basis of the encoded expert data and the encoded trainee data.

Abstract: Human resource system for collecting and analyzing survey data from reference providers identified by a job candidate for use by an employer. The system sends an electronic communication to the reference providers to request completion of survey questions and electronically receives the survey data from the reference providers, preferably through webpages. An analysis module combines the received survey data from the reference providers and generates a confidential candidate report for an employer which excludes identification of any ratings or comments by any reference providers. The system also generates customized interview probe questions for use during job interviews and coaching tactics for use after the hiring, based on the weak areas that have been identified from the completed surveys in order to assist the hiring manager to bring the new hires up to speed quickly and effectively.

Abstract: A method for coaching an operator of an earthmoving machine is disclosed. The machine may have a controller in communication with a plurality of sensors configured to generate actual data indicative of real-time parameters associated with an operation of the machine. In this aspect, the method comprises the controller receiving actual data related to the operation of the machine performed by the operator. The controller determines a type of operation being performed based on the actual data. The controller compares the actual data to expected data for the type of operation being performed as preprogrammed in a memory associated with the controller. The controller provides notification of performance to the operator in real-time based on the comparison of the actual data to expected data.

Abstract: A system and method for coaching an operator of an industrial machine improves operator skill levels by providing prioritized coaching to the operator. The system and method identify operations performed during the work session and compare each operation to a model of the operation to identify operations that differ substantially from the model. Each such operation is logged as a coaching opportunity, and the method and system prioritize the associated coaching sequences for presentation to the operator, e.g., based on (1) classification of the operation associated with each coaching opportunity; (2) significance of the operation associated with each coaching opportunity; (3) operator history; (4) manager preferences; and (5) error severity.
