Abstract: An educational device employing charades and answer-based question formulation in a game situation to teach subject matter of a particular religious nature is disclosed. The educational device is typically comprised of a playing board having a plurality of contiguous spaces extending in a path parallel to the perimeter and converging on the center thereof. Certain of the contiguous spaces contain indicia which correspond to subject matter area categories and associated subject matter area text entries on the cards of a card deck. Certain of the contiguous spaces correspond to a card deck containing question-answer and player interaction/movement cards. The remaining contiguous spaces specifically direct player movement. The playing board also contains a plurality of non-contiguous spaces located on various portions thereof. A plurality of markers are used by the players and chance means initially directs player movement about the board.

Abstract: A religious learning unit for initial teaching and reinforcement teaching of biblical knowledge and principles in a competitive, but supportive game environment. The unit consists of a game board having four major quadrants or focus areas bounded by contiguous perimeter spaces separated by bisecting perpendicular paths also formed of contiguous spaces. Various spaces around the board are designated as pieces of the Armor of God. The object of the game is to advance along the spaces, collect all the pieces of armor and answer a final question. In order to advance, each player must answer an appropriate question listed on a card. The question deals with the Bible.The first player to collect all six pieces of armor is allowed to proceed to the center square and to answer the last question. Whether it is answered correctly or incorrectly, as soon as an answer is given the game is over.

Abstract: A set of figures and objects used to teach children about the proceedings in religious worship services. The figures represent participants and the objects represent altar vessels and the like. The figures and objects are particularly useful in teaching about the Roman Catholic church and churches with a similar liturgical tradition.

Abstract: An apparatus for primarily aiding in teaching born-again Christian religious beliefs includes a base and a hollow structure mounted in upstanding fashion on the base. The structure has a closed bottom, open top, and sidewall with spaced-apart upper and lower opaque wall sections and a middle transparent wall section. The structure defines a chamber representing a person's body. Liquid contained in the chamber represents the person's spirit and its color represents the state of the person's spirit. A pair of valves are respectively mounted to the base and structure. One valve communicates with the chamber bottom and is operable to drain liquid therefrom, representing the death of the person's spirit. The other valve communicates with the chamber middle and is operable to drain portions of the liquid therefrom, displaying the state of the person's spirit.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for teaching a person inspirational phrases. The method comprises a visual display of an inspirational symbol which imparts a sensation of movement towards the person via a steady increase in overall dimension. When the inspirational symbol had attained maximum dimension the words of an inspirational phrase are illuminated below. Simultaneously, an audio track reads aloud the displayed inspirational phrase. The apparatus comprises: shutters which pivotally open and slide into a housing revealing an exhibiting area for showing an inspirational symbol; a display area for exhibiting inspirational phrases; an audio system to broadcast the displayed inspirational verses; and an operating system for changing the displayed inspirational verses in conjunction with the audio system.
