Abstract: A drawing apparatus for accurately generating a hand-drawn reproduction of an image or object is provided. The drawing apparatus includes a mirror and reflective filter arrangement that allows a user to view, through a single eyepiece, both the object being reproduced and the drawing surface where the user generates a hand-drawn reproduction of the viewed drawing object. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes an adjustable, angled stand for supporting the drawing object, and a drawing surface for generating hand-drawn reproductions. As viewed through the single eyepiece, an image of the drawing surface appears superimposed on the drawing object being reproduced. In further embodiments, the single eyepiece is used with a selectable filter arrangement for adjusting the amount of focus on the drawing surface and/or drawing object.

Abstract: An apparatus for a dynamic foreshortening visual aid. A manikin having articulated limbs and a poseable torso and neck is located in space in fixed dynamic natural and unnatural positions for viewing by a comic book artist. Variable orientation connectors are applied between the manikin and a flexible rod and/or between the flexible rod and a base plate or clamp. The manikin is removeably connected to the flexible rod such that various figures are used with a single flexible rod and base plate. A visual aid having multiple manikins that are viewed interacting with each other is also disclosed.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a half mirror for allowing light incident from the rear to pass through to the front and reflecting light incident from the front toward the front, a display section placed at the rear of the half mirror, an image pickup section for picking up an image of the user and generating user image data, an image data retention section for retaining a plurality of pieces of attachment member image data, an image combining section for combining the attachment member image data selectively read from the image data retention section and the user image data to generate combined image data, and an image display control section for displaying the combined image data on the display section.

Abstract: The invention provides a waterproof connector in which a seal is maintained around a bolt without having to increase the number of components. A bolt 39 is passed through a through hole 36 of a bolt attachment member 35, this bolt 39 being passed from a countersunk hole 46 of a grommet 40 attached so as to cover a posterior face of a female housing 30. A nut 26 of a male housing 20 is fastened to this bolt 39, this fastening the two housings 20 and 30 together. A circular sealing member 50 is formed in a manner whereby it adjoins a central hole 47 of a base face 46A of the countersunk hole 46, a shaft 39A of the bolt 39 passing through this sealing member 50 in a manner whereby it fits tightly therewith. The sealing member 50 fits into a housing hole 53 of the bolt attachment member 35.

Abstract: A game apparatus of education and entertainment purposes comprises a number of building pieces and a number of connector pieces. The building pieces have peripheral edges that employ slots to receive complementary sized portions of the connector pieces. The connector pieces have a number of different configurations to permit creation of a variety of three dimensional shapes, including arranging building pieces at right angles, and oblique angles. The building pieces can have indicia thereon to create text, images, or combinations thereof when put together. The building pieces are modularly sized so that differently shaped and sized pieces can easily fit together.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for teaching skills related to the preparation and interpretation of mechanical drawings, including a box with two opposing, hingedly-attached panels that open to form a pair of work surfaces, a set of cards depicting isometric views and orthographic projections, a set of cubes, a set of pieces for use in constructing isometric views and orthographic projections, a timer, and dice. The interior of the box may contain a plurality of compartments dimensioned for storing the components of the apparatus, a turntable and a slot for holding a card. The apparatus enables the user to practice a variety of drawing-related skills, including: using the pieces and cubes to construct two-dimensional and three-dimensional representations, respectively, of an object represented on a card; using the pieces to construct two-dimensional representations of a three-dimensional object constructed with the cubes; and preparing isometric views from orthographic projections and vice versa.

Abstract: An efficacious parenterally administered modified live Canine Corona virus vaccine which provides systemic, humoral protection and also protection of the intestinal tract in dogs from infection by virulent Canine Corona virus is produced. A method for propagation of the Canine Corona virus and its attenuation and a method of evaluating the effectiveness of a Canine Corona virus vaccine in canines is also disclosed.
