    Abstract: An efficient and quick mechanism provides for retention and removal of hard drives on a computer chassis. A hard drive is placed in a hard drive housing, which includes one or more pins on the outside of the housing and a opening on a side of the housing. The pins on the hard drive housing align with and fit inside slots located on the chassis. The chassis also includes a spring plunger that inserts into the opening of the hard drive housing. The insertion of the spring plunger into the opening of the hard drive housing secures the housing to the chassis. The pins can be uncoupled from the slots and the spring plunger can be released from the opening to quickly remove the hard drive housing from the chassis.

The cover member is secured on the flange of the mounting frame and abuts the at least one disk drive to prevent the fasteners from disengaging from the receiving cutouts of the mounting ears.     Abstract: In a cable reel, a movable inner sleeve is rotatably coupled to a stationary outer sleeve and a flat cable is contained in an annular chamber defined between the sleeves. An end of the flat cable is connected through bus bars to wires of an external circuit. A connection member holds intermediate portions of the bus bars. A distal end of the flat cable abuts a lower stopper wall of the connection member and comes into contact with the bottom surfaces of the bus bars. Distal ends of the external circuit wires abut an upper stopper wall of the connection member and come into contact with top surfaces of the bus bars. The connection members are stacked to form an air insulation layer between the stacked members by providing lower walls on the bottom of an upper level connection member and upper partitions on the top of a lower level connection member.

    Abstract: A retaining clip to retain a circuit board insertion/extraction handle on a circuit board. The present invention is a retaining clip which is part of a circuit board inserter and extractor apparatus particularly suited for use with circuit boards utilizing high insertion force connectors requiring in excess of 50 lbs of force. The handle of the inserter/extractor has novel insertion and extraction surfaces which cooperate with corresponding surfaces fabricated as part of a card guide. As the circuit board is inserted into the card guide, the handle is automatically positioned so that the user can press the bottom of the handle to insert the circuit board. The handle and card guide interface is designed to provide a large positive force to extract the circuit board from the card guide until the circuit board is unseated from the associated high insertion force connectors. The clip is constructed of stainless steel and formed into a generally flat "U" shape.
